chapter 14 - farewell

Author's POV

y/n and Jungkook are in the bus getting to the airport.

"We're so close to the airport.." y/n said as she layed her head on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Yeah. I see the airplanes already." Jungkook replied as he looked outside the bus window.

"If only we have more time to spend together. At least one more day would be fine."

"The rest of our lives would be better."

Then, the teacher stood up and walked to the front of the bus.

"Thank you so much for this fabulous excursion we had. Unfortuately, this excursion has to come to an end. We acknowledge everyone a big thank you for being respectful during our stay here. Please clap for the awesome excursion and the staff for organising this!" Mrs Smith said.

Everyone clapped. "Everyone can exit the bus, but it is only the y/c/n students who will be entering in the airport. You can say your farewell at the entrance and take photos at the mini garden right there. We will have 5 minutes to do those so act quick. Please board off the bus with everything you need, y/c/n students except everyone else with a camera, phone, etc." 

The bus was already at the airport and has stopped at the drop-off area. Everyone got off and now it was time to say farewells.

"I hope we get to see each other again." Jungkook hugged y/n. "Don't forget to text, facetime and call me."

"Don't worry Kookie, I will." y/n smiled.

"Life will be so lonely without you." Jungkook pouted.

"It definitely will. I don't know what else to say. Let's take a photo, shall we?"

"That's one thing we should not forget. Let's take turns using our phones to take pictures." Jungkook suggested.

"Great idea." y/n linked arms with Jungkook and sped-walked over to the mini garden. The mini garden was quite packed with students, luckily y/n found a nice spot to take some pictures.

"1, 2, 3..!" Jungkook took the photo together with y/n.

"It looks so cute." y/n smiled while looking at the photo.

"Yeah it does. I'll set it as my phone wallpaper!"

"I will too."

...

y/n's POV

"It is time to go now!" The teachers said. How am I going to leave Jungkook like this..? 

"y/n, I had the greatest time with you here. It looks like you have to go now.." Jungkook sadly said.

"I know. I will miss you a lot! I think I will cry soon!" I said. I actually think I will cry soon.

"Just remember I will still be here. A goodbye doesn't mean we won't see each other again, a goodbye just means we will see each other again sometime. I love you a lot, from the bottom of my heart." Jungkook confessed. 

He leaned in closer to me, then placed his soft lips onto mine.

"y/c/n students, please gather to the front entrance please!" Mrs Smith demanded.

"It looks like I have to go now, Kookie." I said, as I was hesitant of letting go of Jungkook's hand.

"I love you." Jungkook's hands slowly let go of mines.

"I love you too." I finally let go of Jungkook's hand.

Jungkook gave me one last smile before waving me goodbye.

In The Airplane

It was super heartbreaking to say goodbye to Jungkook. I hope I get to see him again.

"y/n, what did you think of the excursion?" Jennie asked.

"It was super fun! I enjoyed it a lot." I replied.

"Especially with you meeting Jungkook, did that make the excursion 10 times better?"

"Mhm." I said before turning back to face the movie I'm watching on the mini tv in front of me.
