OK SO THIS ONES GUNNA BE SUPER RUSHED COZ ITS CHRISTMAS EVE TODAY AND THIS HAS TO BE OUT BEFORE CHRISTMAS SO SORRY IN ADVANCED.
Also Johnlock again coz what's new ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
It was that time of year again. Christmas. God how Sherlock hated the holiday. Not because of any childhood trauma or particular distaste for this season alone, he hated all holidays that involved gift giving, because he could never work out what to get people.
Especially since John and him had started a relationship, he felt even more pressure to find the right gift for him. But yet he had no idea still. He'd tried asking Greg, but his idea of a decent gift was a box of donuts and a hot latte, and Sherlock know at least that that was a shitty Christmas gift.
So, he turned to someone he knew would have plenty of ideas. Molly.
Molly always exceeded expectations with her presents, they were wrapped in stunning wrapping paper with perfect bows and beautiful handmade cards seeming to sparkle without any glitter. Not to mention she always picked the right ones for whoever she was buying for. She seemed to remember details no one else would that would help her with buying gifts, so she was the absolute perfect person to assist the detective.
"Molly?" Sherlock called into the lab before stepping in and noisily closing the door behind him. It too was decorated for Christmas, with sparkling tinsel and fairy lights on the walls, and the many fake plants had stars on top and were covered in little ball balls. It was a sight to behold, but the detective pressed on. "Molly? I need to talk to you." He called again, making his way around the table cautiously, in case she had gone out.
Just then the small lady came in through the lab door, holding many plastic carrier bags in her hands. She was panting, she must've walked all the way here with all of those, deducted Sherlock. "Oh, Sherlock, sorry I just popped out, I wasn't expecting anyone." She chuckled. Sherlock took some of the bags off her and followed to where she was laying them down. "It's quite alright, I just need a quick word." He said, slightly nervous to ask.
Molly turned her attention to the taller man, leaning her back on the counter. "Okay, go for it." She insisted politely. Sherlock shuffled and bit his lip. How did he ask her about a Christmas present for his boyfriend, when he had less than 2 days to get it. He'd look so stupid and unthoughtful, though Molly wouldn't care.
"You know it's Christmas soon?"
"Um, yeah? Kinda hard to forget."
"I have to get John something special, it's our first Christmas together."
"Oh I see, do you know what you're getting him?"
"No, that's why I'm here."Molly rose her eyebrows curiously, parting her lips slightly. Sherlock rolled his eyes. "Can you help me?" He asked sarcastically, molly smiling. "Of course! But you know John better than anyone, is there anything he likes?" She asked, grabbing her notebook of the counter and a pen from behind her ear. The detective took a quick walk around his mind palace, but found no useful ideas. He shook his head.
"Ok, is there anything you think he'd like?" Molly said, clearly think hard for any ideas. The detective grunted, shaking his head quickly. "Molly, if I had any idea what to get him I wouldn't be he-" he stopped, looking wide eyed out the window. There was a couple on the street, married clearly, with rings on. Rings. Like married couples have, only not wedding rings.
He smiled wide, excitement washing over him. He took Molly in his arms and swung her about, ignoring her squeals. "Thank you Molly!" He chirped, strutting out of the room and towards the streets. He hailed a cab and ordered it directly to town.

The morning of Christmas, everything was set and perfect. The tree was decorated perfectly, the flat smelled of cooking food and fragrant candles, and classic Christmas songs were playing quietly throughout. John was making tea in the kitchen, letting out a happy sigh as he took in the smells.
"Good Morning, or should I say, good afternoon." John chuckled as Sherlock's hands snaked around his waste and pulled him into a hug from the back. He lent into his lovers neck and kissed the bottom of his chin. So It wasn't really Christmas morning, it was around 10 in the afternoon, but that was early for John Watson to wake up.
"Ready for presents? Asked the doctor, turning and handing Sherlock a cup of tea and making his way into the living room. The detective practically squealed, rushing his lover to the tree and ordering him to sit. John did as he was told and sat down on his knees, the taller man following suit. "Let me go first." He said.
John nodded, happy Sherlock had finally found some excitement for the holiday. He took a small box from under the tree and handed it to John, pressing his hands under his chin in anticipation. The shorter man unwrapped the gift, revealing a small ring box. He popped it open, and the smile fell from his face.
Inside was a gold ring, but engraved on it was a simple word. 'Starving'.
John felt his eyes well happily as he looked up to Sherlock, who gave John his hand to reveal he too was wearing a gold ring. His read 'dinner?'.
John slid the ring in his finger and interlocked his fingers with Sherlock's. 'Dinner? 'Starving'
John kissed Sherlock patiently before wrapping his arms around him. "Merry Christmas, my love."
If you're wondering what John got Sherlock, it's a sexy lumberjack calendar and a pare of rainbow socks. Jk probably something just as sweet.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! And thank you all for 7k reads! I'll see you next year! (Haha im too funny) 🥰🥳🥳😍😘
