Greg knew Mycroft had touching issues. They'd been flirting and throwing hints at each other for literal months before he acknowledged they could form a relationship, and even after they did he still remained distant physically.

He never wanted to hold hands, never wanted to kiss or hug, even leaning against each other was a chore. Greg never dared mention sex, because his boyfriend wouldn't even sit against him willingly. It was weird, and the DI couldn't help feel there was something deeper. Like Mycroft was hiding something.

It all hit home when one day at Scotland Yard, Mycroft came to eat lunch with Greg. He knocked softly on the door and opened it, smiling fondly as his boyfriends face lit up upon seeing him. "Myc! What're you doing here?" He asked, taking his feet off his desk and leaning forwards, watching Mycroft take a seat on the sofa. "I thought I'd come surprise you with lunch, I suppose to make up for our lack of dates recently." He grinned, placing the paper bag on Greg's desk.

Greg smiled warmly, getting up and sitting next to Mycroft on the sofa. He took the paper bag and opened it, taking out what he assumed was for him (a breakfast sandwich with ketchup and a black coffee) and gave Mycroft what he had ordered (a basic cheese and mayo sandwich and a soy latte). "So, hows work treating you?" Mycroft asked. Greg sighed through a mouthful of food.

"It's alright i suppose, some stupid cases recently- and with Sherlock refusing to be any help at all we're at a dead end." He waffled, Mycroft chuckling. Greg lent against the elder Holmes, Mycroft flinching away quickly before fiddling with his suit to play it off. Greg day still for a moment to decipher what had happened, before placing his sandwich back down in its packet and sitting up. He had to say something.

"Mycroft, we need to talk about something." He said, trying to sound more calm than stern. Mycroft looked at his boyfriend over his shoulder, nodding to tell him to go on. "What's with all this, yknow, physical distance?" He gestured between the two of them, but Mycroft still looked lost. "Ever since we started dating, you won't touch me, anywhere. We haven't even held hands!" He tried not to wind himself up, but Mycroft looked as blank as ever.

"This relationship is fresh, Gregory, things take time." He said, but he had taken on his normal mechanical tone. He was hiding something behind an apathetic face. Greg lent on his hand. "I know they do, but we've gone out for months now, I would've thought we could trust each other enough to at least hug." He looked away, genuinely upset about the lack of physical love between them. He loved Mycroft so much, but he was having doubts the feeling was mutual.

Mycroft looked to his lover, looking at him longingly. "Gregory dear, you know I love you." He cooed, but this time it wasn't convincing enough. "Do you though? Am i doing something wrong? Why won't you like-" he made some more hand gestures between the two of them, Mycroft sighing. He shook his head and took Greg's hand, catching the DI off guard as this was the closest they'd ever come to touching affectionately.

"There is something I've been meaning to tell you, but I just don't know how you'll take it." He said, avoiding eye contact. Greg nodded. "I think- I have thought for a while now, that I may be asexual." He let out a long breath after his sentence, like those words had been burning in his throat for years before being let out. Only thing was that Greg had no idea what he was on about. He lowered his eyebrows in confusion. "Great?" He offered.

Mycroft rolled his eyes playfully, smiling at his oblivious boyfriend with loving eyes. "Not Great per say. Do you know what it means?" He asked, Greg shaking his head. "It means I do not experience sexual attraction. So, I love you dearly, but I don't want the- sexual element of a relationship." Greg rose his eyebrows in realisation. "That's why I've been so, touch starved. I don't want you to get exited it could lead to more." The Holmes lent back on the sofa.

Greg took a moment to process this new information. Of course he supported Mycroft, he always would, but he was a little alarmed they'd got this far and he hadn't mentioned it. He would never want to make him uncomfortable, and he'd only ever go as far as he wanted to. There was no pressure. But the more the idea washed over him, the easier it was to swallow. Mycroft did love him, he just didn't want sex- how was that an awful thing?

"Mycroft, that's fine. Why would that be an issue?" He assured him, taking his hand slowly to test the water. Mycroft smiled, squeezing his hand back. Greg interlocked their fingers one by one, letting it hang between them comfortably and lovingly. It might've seemed normal for other couples, but for these two it was the first step to move their relationship on. "Thank you, dear." Mycroft whispered, leaning over slightly but seeming to shy away a bit timidly.

Greg moved slowly, pecking his lovers cheek softly and briefly. He looked at him after to check for a reaction, and Mycroft was blushing and smiling like a little kid. Greg moved in again and kissed his lips, still softly but lingering there a little longer until his lover pulled away. He nodded and giggled. "That's fine, I like that." He met Greg's eyes, and they both smiled. They fell into each other's arms and held there for a while.

"Thank you, for accepting me, I suppose."
"Thanks for telling me."
"I love you."
"Love you too, Myc."

Awe I thought this was cute. Ofc I'm not asexual, so I have no idea what they like and don't like- and everyone's different obviously. But hey, I dig asexual Mycroft and cute supportive Greg.
