"Are you sure it's her?" Sam asked over the phone. Mike had finished practice and was heading towards his home when Sam called him asking about the incident that happened in the morning.

"Yeah Sam, but she didn't seem to remember any of us. Like the memories had disappeared out of her mind"

"We were eleven years old when she left. It has been 6 years since then. Maybe, she just forgot about us" Sam said going silent.

"I have to go. See you tonight. You are coming right?" Mike asked.

"Dude! Is that something you must ask. Of course, I'm coming. Where the party is at, I'm there" Sam said lighting up the mood.

"Then see you later" he said and cut the phone and stopped the car in front of his house. He still remembered the day Susan left San Cloven. He didn't really blame Emily for doing that, she had just lost a son. It's just that things have never been the same after they had left.

Mike got down and got his house keys out of his pocket but before he could open the door Tessa her foster mom, opened the it. "Mike you're here" she said.

"Yeah, practice finished early. Aren't you supposed to be at work?" he asked going in and taking apple from the fruit basket on their dining table.

"No, I took a leave, I'm tired" Mike knew she was working hard these few days. Mike knew with the school tuition fee coming up she has to work double the shifts to offered it. He hated knowing that she was tired because of him. And he hated lying to her about where he went ever night.

"Now can you do me a favor? Can you please stop eating from that fruit basket and hand it over to Emily's house"?

"Sure, thing mom" he said and threw the leftovers of the apple in the garbage can and crossed the street to Susan's house. He prayed that she wouldn't be there. He didn't want another awkward encounter with her. He had to admit it though she looked beautiful and he had been staring at her like an idiot. He wouldn't blame if she thought he was a freak. Without knowing it he had already reached Emily's front porch. He knocked on the door and a few minutes later Emily opened the door. He sighed with relief. He realized that Susan's mom looked exactly like Susan with the same green eyes. But older.

"Hello Mike, what a pleasure to meet you again. Wow! You have grown up so fast. All the ladies must be chasing after you huh?" Emily said winking at him. He had always liked Susan's mom but seeing her after all these years twisted something inside of him. "I was just kidding. Come on in. I was just arranging everything after the truck arrived today with all are things", she said gesturing him to come in.

"That's very nice of you but..." he started to say. "no buts sir. I won't take no for an answer" She said in a strict tone, but her face showed anything but.

"Fine" he was worried he would meet Susan inside, but she was nowhere in sight.

"Looking for someone Mike?" Emily asked. Mike shook his head. "It's just been such a long time since I came inside this house," he said sitting on the chair provided by Emily.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

"No thank you" he said not wanting to be a bother. "I was just sent here by mom to give you this fruit basket" he said.

"That's so nice. Tell your mother thank you Mike. She was always nice to me, Lisa and Susan. I can't thank her enough for all the things she's done for us" she said looking distant. Though she was smiling she could tell something was bothering her.

"I'll be sure to thank her for you, but can I ask you something?" when Emily nodded curiously, he went on. "When I met Susan today..." but she didn't let him finish.
