han jisung.
i opened my eyes that were at ease after i felt the warmth disappear. did she leave me again?
i sulked as i looked down at the ground, she left me, again.
"han jisung?" i heard her voice call out my name softly.
i looked up and saw her standing in front of me, managing to give her a small smile as i shivered, now that the warmth was missing.
"let's go, i'll get you some warm tea, you can relax at the café down the street," she said before opening her umbrella and gently lifting my arm and putting it over her shoulder, letting herself be my support to walk.
i smiled as we walked under the rain together, i felt loved, something i had missed and desperately wanted from my parents, but didn't get. i felt like i could rely on her, and trust her, but who knows, she might just vanish again and leave me hanging.
i snapped out of my thoughts as we entered the café. she gently settled me down on the couch as she went to order some drinks, while i sorted out my feelings and thoughts.
the rapid beating of my heart earlier on, it couldn't be, was that how 'heart-fluttering' was supposed to be like? i didn't know what i had felt, it felt like love, but then again i haven't experienced love in ages, so i wouldn't know.
i sighed as minji placed the tray of drinks down onto the table, picking up the cup of tea and placing it before me.
"drink this chamomile tea, it'll help calm you down," she smiled.
i attempted to pick the cup before i felt a sting on my hand. "ouch, too hot!" i muttered to myself, but she managed to hear it anyway.
she took the cup and gently blew on the tea before passing the cup to me. "it shouldn't be as hot now."
i took a sip of the tea before putting the glass cup back down onto the coaster. "do you mind if i ask you a question?" i asked as she simply shook her head.
"why did you suddenly vanish the other day?"
she hesitated before heaving a sigh and answering my question. "remember when i offered you my hand to help you stand up?" she asked and i nodded my head vigorously, my curiosity piqued.
"well, as long as it's raining and i hold your hand, the rain will get smaller and a rainbow will appear. after the rainbow appears i only get ten seconds to stay near you before i'm forced to leave."
"wait, why?"
"i don't know either. it's like when a rainbow appears i can't be anywhere near you, but after the rainbow fades away i can get to you again," i gasped and hit my hand as she took a sip of her tea.
"what happens when a rainbow appears then?"
"all worries in people's heads will disappear, because they will be in awe of the beauty of the rainbow, however this doesn't imply to everything, some meaningless worries might remain in your head."
"wow, i never knew that a rainbow could be so complicated."
"me too, until i met you."

the next day
"hi, minji!" i greeted the girl as she looked at me in shock.
"how'd you know which class i was in?" she asked as the schools notorious playgirl, oh hyeyoon, butted into our conversation.
"hey, jisung," she twirled her hair with her finger, acting all flirtatious. "wanna have lunch with me today?"
"i'll get going first, i'll see you when there's another downpour," minji smiled before walking away, into her classroom before i could even stop her.
"pft, what a weirdo, am i right? what downpour is that lunatic expecting to meet you in?" she laughed.
"yeah uh, hyeyoon, i needa go now," i made an excuse to leave but she stopped me.
"jisung! you haven't answered my question," she insisted.
"listen, i'm really busy and i need to leave now-"
"so i'll be expecting you to be there, bye!" she sashayed away as i rolled my eyes.
is she that desperate? it's pitiful.
