han jisung.

"minji!" i called out to minji as she turned around to look at me, looking confused.

"what is it?" she asked after walking to stand in front of me.

"wanna have lunch together?" she squinted her eyes and raised a brow upon hearing my offer.

"me?" she eyed me as if she thought something was fishy about my offer.

"yeah, what's wrong?"

"nothing, it's just- never mind. let's go!" she smiled brightly, signaling me to follow her as she walked in the direction of the cafeteria.

"so jisung, making a new friend huh?" changbin said as he put his tray down onto the table, sitting down and tucking into his food.

"hi, binnie," i looked at minji, confused as heck. binnie?!

"you know changbin?" i questioned as she nodded.

"duh, everyone in school does. but he's my cousin, so i'm more comfortable with him," she smiled brightly, picking up her fork as she started to eat.

"oh, i see," i heaved a sigh of relief as i realized that there was nothing between them. i didn't know why, but i felt jealous every time i saw her with other guys, and i told myself that i wouldn't fall in love, but why was i feeling this way?

i sat by the window in class, drawing a heart on the windows as it poured outside. "jisung. jisung!" i heard someone whisper-shout to me before i turned around to face the owner of the familiar voice. seo changbin.

"what?" i asked.

"quit daydreaming about minji, ms kim is looking in your direction."

"how'd you-" he cut me off.

"it's pretty obvious. your eyes spoke 'jealous' when she called me 'binnie' in the cafeteria earlier," he laughed at my shocked face, before i smacked him on the arm, turning back to face the chalkboard.

boom! a rumble of thunder was heard. i flinched in my seat as i froze in shock, scared out of my wits. it's happening, another thunderstorm. tears were starting to roll down my cheeks as i hugged myself, trying to calm down, until i heard someone call my name.

"mr han? someone is looking for you," i heard ms kim say before i staggered out of the classroom, stumbling a few times.

the moment i stepped out of the door of the classroom, i stumbled once again, but i felt someone catch me.

"han jisung! are you alright? i'm sorry i didn't get here sooner," i heard someone say. it was her, her voice. oh minji.

i turned my head to face her, my dried tears visible on my face. "don't cry, please don't cry," she said reassuringly, pulling me into a hug.

the warmth, i felt it again. i smiled slightly, feeling comfortable and calm in her arms.

yet again, i didn't want to let go,

but she did.

"han jisung, you okay?" she asked, worried.

"yeah, i'm fine," i was fine, but i missed her warmth, and i'll admit, i felt a little sad.

"here," she passed me a navy blue jacket and a thermal flask of warm water.

"don't get sick, i'll visit you here after class. i have to get back to class now," she informed as i pouted and she chuckled at my face.

"don't worry, i'll come back. i'll text changbin to help take care of you in the meantime," she said before waving me a goodbye, walking back to her classroom.

i sighed as i saw her figure walk away from me. i miss her already.
