It was early the next morning and Maya got a text from Riley.
She knew who it was and what it would say but didn't know if she wanted to go through with looking at him.
After about then of them she decided to finally look at it.R - We need you to come at our place right now.
R - By right now, I mean right now, Maya.
R - HURRY UP. IT'S VERY VERY VERY VERY URGENT.
Maya sigh as she stands up from bed quickly making it before she heads to her closet.
As soon as she got dressed she brushed her hair and then she went straight to the Matthews.~
"Do I have to be here? This is ridiculous," Josh said.
"Yes, you have to. It will make her realize how serious this is. Josh a fourteen year old can't stay on her own," Cory said.
"Yet I have always stayed on my own," Maya said as she came through the door and everyone looked at her.
"What?" Maya asked not knowing what is going.
"Where did you get those clothes? Shawn certainly didn't buy them for you neither did I."
"Jeez, Cory are you here to talk to her about her dressing style or her mom? What does it matter what she wears?" Josh asked as he walked towards Maya standing right next to her.
"My father send me a few outfits in September. I just haven't started to wear them yet. What do you want to discuss with me about my mom?" Maya asked.
"What she's doing isn't right," Shawn said and Maya rolled her eyes.
"Stop. I'm not your daughter. And I never will be. I'm not your problem," Maya said.
"Yeah, right. You're one of my students plus my daughter's best friend. I have a respons..." "You have no responsibility towards me. My mom was right. I thought I knew where I belong in the meantime I'm just trying to fit into the family. I'm fine on my own. I really am," Maya said.
"Who are you then?" Riley asked and Maya smiled.
"I'm Maya Penelope Hart and nobody can take that away from me. You guys are gonna have to except me the way I am. I have to go," Maya said leaving the apartment.
"Nice job, Bro," Josh said and went after Maya."Maya! Hey, don't listen to them," Josh said.
"They just make me so angry. They think I have to listen to them if I have to start my life right. That isn't true. Cory Matthews can't control me anymore. I'm not his daughter," Maya said.
"I know. You are right. They have no right to talk to you like that and I have no idea why I had to be there," Josh said making Maya chuckle.
"It's fine. Hopefully everyone will get over it pretty soon. But I have to go. I promised my father I would pay him a visit. I'll see you later," Maya said and was gone.
