Chapter Eleven - Strange Dreams

Both Mikey and Mira were in the hotel lobby, waiting for Tag and Manic to come. Mira was watching the news report, while Mikey sat back and looked out the window. It was starting to get really dark out. Mikey wished he could of been with Tag and Manic instead of sitting here, waiting helplessly with Mira, he liked being part of the adventure, it made him feel as if he were in a movie. But he guessed this was the not so adventurous part of the story. He watched videos on his phone for awhile, then played some of the games he had. Where were they? Mikey sighed as he saw an unfamiliar car pull into the hotel parking lot. He then perked up once he saw two familiar guys getting out of the car and walking to the door.

" Manic!" Mikey exclaimed. He jumped up off the chair he was sitting on. He ran over to Tag and Manic as they entered the hotel lobby.

" Hey Mikey." Manic greeted and gave him a pat on the back. Mikey gave him a hug, then was going to give Tag one.

" Don't even think about it. " Tag said stepping back.

" Too late." Mikey gave him a hug anyways. Tag rolled his eyes and patted Mikey's head, then pushed him aside.

Mira looked over at them from where she stood beside the TV and smiled. " Oh thank God you're both okay! " She quickly walked over to them and gave them both a hug. Then out of no where she punched Tag's shoulder. Hard. " Don't EVER leave me like that again! You scared the life out of me! "

Tag's jaw dropped and rubbed his arm. " Well glad to see you're okay too!" He said, squinting an eye at the pain. Mikey snorted and started to laugh to himself. Tag glared at Mikey, threatening him with his eyes.

Mikey's eyes widened and he stopped laughing. "So how did you guys get away from that robot, huh? " Mikey asked eagerly bouncing slightly in place. " Did you get to meet Sonic?!"

" What happened to your arm!" Mira gasped noticing the bandage on Manic.

" It was the robot. " Manic yawned and scratched the back of his head. " Look, how about we tell the whole story tomorrow, I'm beat. "

Mikey pouted. " Aaww! But I've been waiting here for hours you gotta tell me something! "

" We were stuck walking in a smelly subway for hours, Mikey. Happy?" Tag said plainly.

" But you came in a car!" Mikey stated.

"We stole it for the last three miles." Manic explained.

" But how did you get away from the robot?! Did you fight it?! How did you get in a subway? How did you get out of the subway?" Mikey continued asking many questions as they walked towards their rooms.
" Mikey?" Tag finally said as he got to his and Mira's room and stepped inside after Mira.
" Yeah?" Mikey said eagerly.
" Go to bed." Tag told him.
"But-" Mikey began but then Tag slammed the door in his face.
Mikey frowned. " Alright fine, I can take a hint!" Mikey said crossing his arms.

Manic was exhausted, this day had dragged on long enough. Manic went into the hotel room across from Tag's, plopped onto the first bed and kicked his shoes off. Mikey followed in after him and took the second bed and startrd saying something, but Manic didn't pay attention and fell fast asleep.

That night Manic dreamt, having vivid flashbacks of old memories from long ago. Manic tossed and turned in his sleep. "No... " He mumbled softy. " no. Mom.. SONIA!" He yelled and sat up quickly reaching out ahead, only to have the dream fade away as he came back to reality.

Mikey flinched, he was watching Sonic Boom and Manic spooked him. He looked over at Manic from his bed. " Who's Sonia? Is that your mom's name?" Mikey asked cocking his head sideways.

Manic breathed heavily for a second, trying to calm himself down. " N-no. It's no one. It was.. it was just a nightmare, don't worry about it. Alright?"

Mikey looked at Manic solemnly. ".... Was it really that bad? "

Manic sighed. " Trust me, you don't need to know. "

" Okay.." Mikey replied. " You know I had this weird dream last night. Wanna hear it? " Mikey said and paused the show he was watching.

Manic thought for a second, Mikey could have some pretty whacked out dreams at times. What could it be this time? " Sure, go right ahead."

Mikey sat up and smiled." OKAY- So in the dream all four of us were walking to this haunted house and this little blue fairy, her name was Cal, comes up telling us to hurry inside. So we all run in and the fairy said something was coming to attack us! While I was busy talking to the fairy,you, Tag, Mira and some other people that were there got up and left us! You were just gone! Now me and the blue fairy were stuck inside this room alone with this monster beast thing! I grabbed the fairy in my hand and ran for our lives out into the forest until I trip and fall down this hill... which is probably why I woke up on the floor but anyways, the monster thing stopped chasing us then. After us walking for awhile.. you'll never guess who shows up.... Crocker!"

Manic rose an eyebrow. " Crocker?"

" Yeah! From the Fairly Odd Parents! I already knew what he was up to, he was after Cal! So I distract him saying I'm a huge fan and all and I convinced him to give me his net to keep as a 'souvenir' but really so he couldn't catch the fairy, because you know fairy magic doesn't work under butterfly nets and if he caught her she would be helpless. AND SO! I saved Cal from Crocker's clutches, we walked into a city .. stole some guys wallet and got arrested.. then I woke up."

Manic sat there dumbstruck with his mouth open. He didn't know what just happened. " You shouldn't watch Fairly Odd parents before going to bed anymore. " He said while shaking his head. He put his feet to the floor and started putting his shoes on.

" I also had ANOTHER dream last night that this little blonde girl named Jenny was threatening Tag with a bazooka! " He chuckled happily and looked up re-imagining it." It was funny."

Manic couldn't help but crack a smile at that. " I bet it was. " He thought a second. " Hold up, YOU stole a wallet? I thought you didn't like stealing people's wallets?"

Mikey shrugged. " I was hungry in the dream! I had to buy us something to eat! Besides, the guy looked extreeeeemely rich so it wouldn't of phased him anyways. " Mikey sat there watching Manic's arm for a moment as he finished putting his shoes on and stood up, " Sooooooo, NOW can you tell me what happened yesterday?"

Manic didn't get to answer as there door swung open. They looked and saw Mira standing there.

" Come on guys," Mira said." we're going downstairs to eat." She didn't stay long for an answer and walked off.

" Alright. " Manic said almost to no one, then looked at Mikey. " I'll tell ya at breakfast, okay? That way Mira can hear too."

Mikey perked up. " Yes! Let's go! " And Mikey ran out the door, then looked back at Manic. " Well? Come on!"

Manic rolled his eyes and smiled, then walked out of the room closing the door behind him.
