friends don't lie - elmax

well hello.

    it was a normal day in hawkins. scratch that, it was a very different day in hawkins. a new girl was moving into hawkins for the first time in forever, with the byers.

the party knew about it of course, will wouldn't stop talking about it. her name was jane, however everyone called her eleven. hopper had adopted her to protect her, as she had supernatural powers. no one was to know about these powers except for the byers family and the party.

eleven had just finished unpacking her things into her room, when will had walked in.

"oh hey, what's up?" she asked, walking towards him from her dresser.

"hey, i was just wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with my friends? i think it'll be cool for you too meet them, and they kind of asked if you could come anyways." will lightly laughed, taking out his phone.

"definitely! i think that would be really cool, and it's nice to know they like me already." el laughs aswell, walking out of her room with will.

"okay, let's go then!" will opens the door for eleven, her leading the way to the bus.

the ride to the mall wasn't too long, maybe 15 minutes at most. when the two siblings got there, the rest of the party were all there waiting for them at the front. the moment they saw her, they all engulfed eleven in a hug, smiling. well, not all of them. maxine mayfield was too busy staring, yes, staring at eleven byers. she would never say this to anyone -except maybe robin- but she thought she was beautiful. she was quickly brought back into the real word by lucas waving his hand infront of her face.

"lucas quick it- uhm, hi, my names max." she smiled, holding out her hand for el, but instead was meeted with a hug (lesbian panic).

"i'm eleven, or el, but you probably knew that," she smiled, "well, where to first?"

"i was thinking maybe we could spread out and shop where we want? and then after we could go to the food court for a bit, then if we're still up for it continue shopping?" mike suggested, followed with them all nodding.

"yeah that sounds good. lucas and i can be a group, will and mike can go as a group, and lastly eleven and max together."

"that's okay with me, just make sure you actually do some shopping and not some other things dustin.." max grinned as the others started laughing, except for lucas and dustin, turning red.

"okay shut up, can we go now?"

they all agreed and went off in their seperate groups. of course it was max's luck that she got the girl she was basically drooling over to go with her.
fortunately, they both had similar fashion tastes, as they both wanted to go to the same stores. el skipping along, while max followed behind. sometimes the two would catch the other groups holding hands or doing something cute and they would point it out, making the others red. around an hour or two later they all met up at the food court, grabbing a table for them all. eleven noticed that will and mike were holding hands under the table and smiled, making a mental note to ask will about it later. dustin and lucas were both laughing at something dustin had done, the others didn't really know why as it was so sudden. a few minutes later, they all had their food and drinks. max said she 'wasn't hungry' yet stole eleven's fries anyways, el pretended to scold her for it, but secretly didn't care. they were all having a good time until will and el had to go, as their parents were going out, and didn't want them home alone. they all had said goodbye to each other, will saying bye to mike for a bit too long. once the two had left, two other members of the party seemed distant, deep in thought, really. of course these two were max and mike, as max had her mind on eleven the rest of the time she was at the mall, as mike had his mind stuck on will.

        ~elevens pov~

will and i were both on the bus when i remembered about the food court.

"so, you and mike are a thing?" i nudged his arm slightly, laughing a bit as he nearly choked on air.

"why-why would you think that?"

"you two are really close... and i saw you two hold hands under the table at lunch." i think it's cute how close they are, whether they're dating or not to be honest.

"okay well, you already know i'm gay, and since you two saw us.. yeah we are," he then looked at me, as if he was.. scared? "but please don't out mike okay? he isn't ready and i know he would freak out if you did that."

"will, i'm literally gay, i wouldn't do that, promise."

"so, on the subject of our friends, how's max?" max is everything i imagined as perfect and more, i thought. what i answered was different, obviously.

"she's really nice, i like her! do you have her number?" he then gave it to me, the amazing ANGEL he is.

the bus stopped and we ended up walking the rest of the way home. i couldn't get her out of my head. her freckles, her smile, everything about her is just beautiful. i still had her in my mind as i went to bed, all just maxinemaxinemaxine. i am in for a rollercoaster.
