I keep on staring at the white coloured wall.
"How was the first day of school, hon?" Laura takes a seat in front of me. She places the plate of cookies on the table next to us and looks up.
"Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." I shrug, picking up a cookie. Laura takes one too, but instead on biting, she nibbles on it. On the other hand, I start munching on it like a monkey who's hungry for two-three days.
"Sav just called. She'll be here soon." Laura gives a small smile. I pick up another cookie, muttering a 'nice' in reply to the lady sitting in front of me.
"Make yourself at home, sweetie. Grace won't be done with her work till six."
Grace, who was supposed to pick me up from school at two, didn't even show up. Instead, Laura volunteered to drive me to her house. And believe me, knowing Savanna will be here any minute is not helping my big urge to run the hell out of here.
"Ah!" Laura exclaims, looking out of the window. I look out as well, only to see someone getting off a black Ducati. The person pulls off the helmet.
Lo and behold!

I sigh and continue torturing the piece of cookie until my phone vibrates in my pocket. Keeping the half-bitten piece in between my teeth, I dust my palms and reach for my phone. Punching in the password, I see a message from Brooke.

Aren't you at home yet?
I'll be at home at 7 or something.
Uhhh........
Grace ditched me. Again.
Someone else picked me up.
