"This is it, this is her house"

Muttering a 'thank you', to the person who guided him all the way here, the male frowns up at the house in front of him.

He feels the person walk away without another word before he walks ahead towards the small stairs, before reaching the front door, with a shaky sigh, he rings the bell, waiting for the door to open.

He bites his plump lips, squirming in his place as the air gets rather cold for his liking, making him ring the bell again, this time with a shaking hand, sighing in relief when the locks of the door open, making a elderly woman appear infront of him with a angry look on her wrinkled face.

"Don't you kids give up on bothering me all day!?"She asks with a sneer as she stares at him, making him shake his head in denial.

"N-No ma'am, I'm here for another reason...not to bother you"He stammers as she was about to close the door in his face, but stops with a huft crossing her arms together.

"Yes?"She asks impatiently.

"Uh-um..do..do you happen to know Maria—Maria Thompson? He asks with a swallow, noticing how the woman tenses up and the frown leaves her features before she speaks up.

"Why do you ask?"

"I-I have some quetions related to her..and her article—"

"So you're one of those bothersome reporters, that I don't answer to!"She huffs and moves to close the door again but he blurts out excuses.

"Please..I really need your help—things are happening to me, like her!"He shouts making her sigh, mumbling a 'fine' before moving aeay to let him in.

"Thank you.."

"I knew Maria since a long time, she was a-a troublesome person in the village we lived in.."

Pouring hot tea in two cups, she ha her back towards the male on the sofa, who was focusing on her words.

"She was all giddied up, ready for any hiking trip or always excited, a really passionate lass, really"She chuckles turning around towards the younger and handing him the warm drink.

"I was her partner in crime in her pranks or fun..but she began to close herself off from me.."

She trails off with sadness in her voice.

"—she was beginning to get attracted to visiting a family, who lived in the forest, apart from our village, whenever I asked her who they were, she always replied with friends, nothing more"

"I knew she was drifting apart from me, so one day I followed her to the same place she visits every night.."

With a sigh, she continues.

"Soon I regretted that, I saw she was having a heated argument with a young boy, she then yelled profanities and insults at the male, then she stalked towards the village"

"—she gathered the whole village, shouting 'witches, there are witches, monsters in the forest' "

A frown reaches Hoseok's face, as he hears her talk.

"...the people believed her, with their weapons, they barged into the forest..and..killed the poor family—"

She stops and sips her drink, eyes filled with sorrow.

"Then..all of a sudden, things started happening in the area, and many moved out after that, that includes her and me, she shifted elsewhere with her family and I moved away with mine..I never saw her since then"

Hoseok nods setting the empty cup aside, registering the information he was given just now.

"You said you met her..how is she?"She ask with a hopeful look on her face.

"I'm sorry, she passed away a year ago"Hoseok gives her a small assuring smile as shock reaches her features.

"W-What?"

Gulping he watches with guilt as the woman stares at him.

He couldn't really tell her all that happened to him last year and still is happening, it would be a shock for her weal heary, so he decided to keep quiet about it.

He just asked about the woman's past story, which after many, many tries of his, she told him.

"Y-You said that things starte happening to you as well, tell me avout it, maybe I can help"

Well, this goes off the other way.
