-HER-

Amara only have two hours left before she can go home. Her hands are moving swiftly, having their own minds of what steps to do in treating someone. She lifts the antiseptic to put on the wounds of a patient.

The patient is a pack member. Her name is Christina. She's her former schoolmates. According to what she said, her hands are burned from cooking. She doesn't noticed that the spatula she's holding are put in the fire.

That's kind of careless. But it's somewhat understandable because her mom is kind of that way too, when she's into the moment she didn't notice about what's going on around her.

Amara swore that her mom legitly unaware that she's home, whilst she's cleaning the living room.

She just smiles at Christina and proceed to treat her burnt hands. It'll quickly heal in hours if treated rightly. But who's kidding? She's a shewolf, she's got healing process better than humans.

"You don't talk much this day too, huh?" Christina asked her, not in an insulting ways, just pure curiosity.

Her working hands stills for a moment before proceeding. Not many initiated conversations with her, without a warming startups, like "Hi, how are you doing?" But Christina just jump right out rendered her speechless for a moment.

Not wanting to leave the question hanging, "Yeah, not much, I tend to make people awkward by talking to me." She smiles a little.

"How 's that?"

"They don't find my company interesting enough to be friends with me, I guess."

"What, that's totally absurd. I find you interesting enough to want to be friend with you at school, it's just that you always keep your nose under the books. Of course I didn't have time to talk to you because I am a running athlete."

Amara smiles at her kind words.

"Thank you, though."

By the time they're done talking, Amara is also done tending Christina 's burnt hand.

"Thank you, so now that we've initiated a conversation, I hope we can continue be acquainted until we be friends, and maybe best friend. But of course if you're interested to be friends with me too." Reaching out to her with her unharmed hands, signalling to handshake.

She shakes her hand, "Of course, Christina, I would love too." Smiling.

"Thank you again for treating me, Dr Amara."

"Please, just Amara."

She nodded. "See you Amara, If you have free time, we can try hanging out right?"

Amara nods and after exchanging numbers between them, Christina heads home.

Amara walk balk inside the hospital to end her shift for today. She takes off her coat and packs her things before going back home.

The hospital is also located near the human town. It provides an easy access for her pack members as well as for the humans as well.

The humans are still unknown to werewolves creatures. They still think that we're myths. Watching stories about werewolves have completely left them thinking we, werewolves doesn't exist in this world.

It's best that they lived unaware and under the shadows.

She decided to go to the human town for a while. She has a good coffee shop that she secretly liked. Starbucks, she knows this coffee shop has been a great deal for human and she likes it too.

She ordered her usual, a caramel frappucino with up and down caramel drizzle and an adequate amount of coffee. She heard one human ordered this and she instantly fall in love with the taste.

After waiting for awhile for her coffee, she decided to go for a walk before her name being called. She's walking towards her favorite bakery to get her favorite chocolate pies.

It's been a week, after Adam's mate news. And today Adam wanted to introduce his mate to our family. As she's walking, she can't help but wondered, how is it like, if she found her mate later.

Nearing the bakery, the smells of sweets and breads are clouding in the air. Hmm, she loves this smell. She instantly spot, Mrs Davis, the master head of all this perfect pastries' recipes.

She had already called before to fetch 3 chocolate pies after work. Mrs Davis smiles warmly at her arrival. In front of her, stood 3 boxes of chocolate pies.

"Hi dear, busy day?"

"Not at all, how about you, Mrs Davis?"

"Oh, just same thing, baking."

"Here's your orders. Please grab something you like in the bakery. It's on the house."

Amara smile and thanked her for her generosity and head for pizza bread. She go for savory food, 'I'm kinda starving, this'll do before dinner.' She thought.

Deciding that she's had enough at the human's town. She heads back home. Walking home, she can't hide her excitement to meet with her brother's mate. She bets she'd be beautiful.

She opens the front door and put the boxes in the kitchen. But she found no one is in sight. 'Hm, weird.'

Mom is not in the kitchen, but dinner is already done. Dad is not in the living room too, doing his usual evening routine. Has grandma and grandpa arrived?

"Mom, dad." She calls out.

Fortunately with a reply. "Honey we're upstairs getting ready. Come upstairs."

She heads upstairs and instantly found both her parents in their bedroom. Mom looked pretty in her emerald dress and dad in his tux.

"What's the occasion?"

"Did you forget that today Adam is bringing his mate?" Mom pinched my cheeks lovingly.

"Of course not, but I just thought that we can wear something not formal at this dinner."

"Not going to happen, honey, wear dress okay?" Dad said why patting my head.

She love the affection they showed her. Being the last child of this family gave her the privilege. She doubts that they even realized Amara have fully grown up woman for all that matters.

"Okay." While walking towards her room to get ready.

Amara wear a maroon dress that enunciate her curves but not too tight to be inappropriate. The dress fell just above her knees. She let my hair down in its natural waves and head downstairs.

Going downstairs, all of her family have arrived except Adam and his mate.

I saw Anna and hug her before sitting on the couch at the living room. She pulled my hand down and sit us on the couch.

"Mara, I think I've found my mate." She whispers in my ear.

Amara was in shocked and her eyes windened in impact . "Seriously, I'm so happy for you Anna. When are you going to tell the family?"

"After meeting with Adam's mate," fiddling her fingers. "I'm nervous."

"You'll be fine." Amara smiles and tightened her hands on her sister's hand.
