-HIM-

Achilles, that's his real name. Too much angelic of a name for what people named him, a monster, a nightmare to all the daydreams.

He didn't even spare a thought on what people called him.

He didn't give a fuck at all.

People can think what they want of him. It doesn't change the fact that they don't fucking know anything about him. Well, the stories are the truth in some ways but the ways they reflects on him, that's a bit gruesome.

He did it only for one reason. To save them.

He doesn't need to prove to anyone that he has every bit of a good intention in him at that time. Centuries apart, he just let them pass by.

They said, time heals everything. Now, he knows that was some fucking bullshit talk because time don't heal, we just learn to adapt.

Adapt. That's all we've all been doing. Doesn't matter that you live hundred years, if you still remember every details of the memories from the past. That's what keeps you moving, even if you're lost between death and living.

Achilles once had a purpose in his life. Until then, everything was perfect.

He's got family around to support him. Friends that are always there for him. Hell, he's even waited for his mate to come along, even.

But, as quick as the eyes can blink, everything has been taken away from him. To say he was devastated was an understatement.

It's hell he's been living through all this years. But he learnt to come by. To accept what had happened, is so fucking hard, but he adapts to say the least.

He steels himself for the sake of him.

It was around centuries ago, when his packs got an unalarmed attacked. Their allies had betrayed his packs collaborating with an enemy's pack. They attacked his packs when they're unprepared, when they're all unaware of the tragedy to come.

At that time, he was an Alpha. An Alpha to Mighty Midnight Pack. His pack used to be the strongest and the largest pack. Every other packs look up to his pack, wanting to be as strong as them.

Not until the attack, he got up with a jerk to the sound of people screaming and the smell of smokes. His beta had mind linked him about the attack. He's so furious and his wolf only see red at that time.

He fight with the enemies, his wolf is bloodied with the enemies bloods and also his. His wolf is relentless, wanting to save everyone in his packs, wanting to kill all that has caused this to his pack.

Not until he saw his family, his friends died in front of him.
His body trembled with tremor, anger, sadness, disappointment, guilty and remorse fill him.

He blacked out and his wolves takes over.

And that's when, the myths of him being, a monster been tell.

All that he has ever remembered, when he's awake, he's the only one alive.

Today, he went to the town to stock his foods. His food has run out is storage. He likes to fill his stocks before it has totally run out.

His walked, familiar with the path he's taken. He knows the shortest way to get to town. He live near here forever. He has seen where civilizations took place and build the town into place.

He's quite thankful though, because it's easier for him, to get all the essentials he needed. He had just arrive at the human groceries store. He instantly went to the trolley section and pull out one before continuing his journey to the raw food section.

As he walk through the alley, he heard some of the human says "Wow, he's huge, no I mean he's massive and tall too."

He has heard that all his life. He admits, he's massive in the built department. Not all men match his size. He stood at 6'5 and built as a tank.

Most of the men would feel intimidated but women they find him appealing. He never felt attracted to any of them. His wolf was revolted with anyone other than his mate.

Achilles wanted only his mate even if he have to wait for hundred more years.

He go to the raw section and choose the 5 thick meat. He ask the butcher to cut the meat to pieces. Then, he go to the vegetables section to get some onions, spinaches, cabbages, salads enough for a week stocks.

After he's done doing kitchen stuff, he go to the 3 in 1 drinks and put some in the trolley. Along the aisle, he grab some biscuits and some oats.

What? You think he's old, he's not up to trend? Man's gotta live you know.

After done doing his groceries, he pays for the stuffs and head out while carrying his stuff. While walking along the walkway, he smelt something alluring. Some intoxicating and sweet smell that has him going towards the bakery.

When he reach there and the smell is even more stronger and he found himself calming. He sniff the air, trying to get it into his system. Wanting it to be imprinted in his body.

He felt his wolf going restless but he doesn't know why. He just knows that he loves this smell. He didn't notice that his action is being scrutinized by someone until he heard a clearing throat.

"Looking for anything, dear? A bread or anything?"

He turns around and saw a petite old woman behind the counter. She's smiling at him.

Smile doesn't come often his ways. So he finds it alarming that she smiles at him. At this thought, he can't help but think that she looks friendly and her smile is inviting and warm.

She looks nice.

Not wanting to be rude, he gave her a small awkward smile.

He just wanted to know where this smell comes from, and with a little bit of sanity in him, he added. "Yes, a loaf of bread, please."

It would be too weird coming to a bakery without buying, right?

She chuckles seeing his reaction and put the loaf of bread he asked for in a wrapper.

"Is that all? Or do you want a coffee or anything? I make a killer coffee." She asked again.

He looks a bit perplexed but just nods anyway.

After making her killer coffee, he make a quick pay for it and the bread. After saying thank you, he left the bakery.

On his way back, he can't quit thinking about that smell. What makes him feel this way. What makes his wolf feeling restless.

Taking a sip of the coffee of that old woman, he thought 'she does make a killer coffee' and head to his cabin. Quickly making a quick note on his mind to come back later to find out about that delicious smell.
