Darkness, all around her. From the moment she woke up all she felt, sensed and saw was darkness. Nothing  else, not even a ray of artificial light. She was afraid, of course, but she knew better than just panic. In these situations, the best thing to do is keep you mind clear and focus only on one thing: survive. She had this mysterious feeling that she was being watched, but at the same time judged and protected. “Who's there?”, she asked a few minutes ago, but not a soul answered. She felt hopeless, she almost gave up. However, she suddenly heard steps coming from somewhere, near but far.

The noise became louder, as if they knew she could hear them and wanted to make her go crazy. More sounds added up to the prior, and she felt surrounded. She felt watched, examined, judged, terrified. She had never felt like that before, but in the dark alone, everyone feels the fear creeping at the back of your brain, slowly spreading to every fiber of your body.

She started feeling dizzy, weak, light headed. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was safe though. She knew she would be fine, but that doesn't mean she didn't feared for her life.

Just before closing her eyes, a new pair of eyes looked directly to her eyes. This time, however, the eyes weren't red, they were the deepest black you could imagine. One look, and you couldn't help but fall, deep, in its darkness, as if it was sempiternal. As if the depth was consuming every part of your body. As if you entered a land of no return.
