Is Lily avoiding me? And James too? I ask Remus inside our heads.
"Possibly. And me too, you know," he says softly. I wince.
"Why?" I whisper brokenly to him. I can see that he's just as upset and confused as me. We have been revealed as siblings, so there's no reason for them to avoid us due to thinking that we're dating or something.
"I'm going to talk to Sirius," I tell Remus, eying the boy sitting across the common room from us, with Lily and James on the sofa all squished together. I close my book and lift myself off his lap. As I stand, I look into Remus' face and frown. I know the possibility that Lily was his soulmate but he was not hers was weighing on him, but the defeated look he wore, paired with the fact that his cheekbones more pronounced and his chin seemingly sharper under the Glamour charm I had cast for him was a sign he was giving up hope. I turned and made my way over to Sirius, and his eyes seem to flicker over my face and notice the hardened jaw and I'm positive he knows I'm using a Glamour charm. He waves at me as I reach him.
"Hello Liv," he says carefully. I look toward James, who averts his eyes. I turn slightly to Lily, and am surprised to see that her eyes are rimmed with red, something that I hide with the charm. She holds my gaze for a moment, but her eyes drift over to Remus, so I turn back to Sirius.
"So how-," He cuts himself off, watching as I pale, feeling the Glamour charm being taken off my broken body. The fact that I'm not eating well shows as well as the dark circles and redness around my eyes from lack of sleep and crying. I growl as I slowly turn on the spot, ending facing Remus, who stands with his wand out, looking at something behind me. I hear the sofa move as Sirius almost falls off it in his haste to look at me closer. He walks around in front of me, swiping at the tears that are forming in my eyes. He looks deep inside me, understanding in a way that I have only ever known with Remus. He reaches out to hug me, and hisses as he feels the weakness of my small form. I look over at Remus, and he knows what I am thinking. He glares, shaking his head. I sigh, knowing it's the only thing to get us all back together. I mutter a counter-charm. His already skinny body thins out even more, his cheeks sinking and his eyes showing dark shadows. Lily gasps and she slowly, almost robotically walks over to Re. He lowers his eyes. I frown at him, but just as I'm about to speak, I feel sick, and move towards the door. Sirius looks at me, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't feel well," I manage to whisper, looking up at him, before feeling the sensation of falling and then darkness surrounds me.
~~Time skip cuz life sucks~~
I strain to hear anything, then move my fingers, which seem to be held down. I open my eyes after some struggle and realize that James is holding my left hand and Remus is holding my right one. Remus lets out a cry of relief and smothers me in a hug. I stroke his hair and kiss it, whispering that I am alright. When he gets off me, I see that mum and dad are in the corner, and Sirius and Lily are sitting in chairs to my left.
"Darling," Mum breathes, rushing forward to hug me, Dad following close behind.
"Liv," Lily says. She comes to sit on my bed, eyes wet with tears. I smile at her, gently giving her a hug, my shoulder wet with her tears. Mum and Dad wave goodbye from the door, and when they leave, Sirius switches places with Lily. His eyes seem to me like they have seen things they will never unsee, and he holds wisdom beyond his age, though he calls upon it rarely.
How long have I been out?
Two days.
"TWO DAYS???" I shriek. Remus nods silently.
"How do you do that?" asks Lily.
"We have a rare double connection, we are soulmates and have the connection through my wound. We are able to communicate in our heads." Remus replies.
"What type of soulmates are you?" Sirius asks carefully.
"Siblings, obviously," Remus and I say together, confused. Sirius turns to James and says, 'I was right."
"But I was so positive..." James says.
"Who are your soulmates and which are which?" I ask, taking a leap of faith Remus would never do. Lily and James both blush, Sirius shrugs, like it's no big deal.
"Umm... welllll... James is my sibling and my romantic is... Remus," Lily says, whispering at the end. He laughs delightedly and grabs her in a hug. Her face splits open in a grin, her hair flying as he spins her around, then kissing her when he puts her down. I smile happily at the two.
"My sibling is Lily, and my romantic is Olivia," James says. He looks down, and I grin, pulling him by his collar down for a kiss. I pull away and we smile, then kiss again, stopping when we hear a click. Sirius had taken a picture of us kissing, and he smirks mischievously, but we take no notice of him, continuing on, as do Lils and Rem.
