I woke up got Maddie dressed, made breakfast while T got dressed and once we ate I put on my grey jogging pants with a plain white tee shirt and my Jordans. I dropped Maddie and T off at moms cause I didn't want them at the house alone. Once we got to mom's I pulled her to the side and told her everything and how I was going to do some research and that I need the girls with someone I trusted. I kissed my girls and hugged mom's good bye and went to my car.

I dialed a number and hopes the person picked up
~Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring~
Just before I hung up the sound of a cold hello entered my ear "Dad".....

I know that Cash brought us here to protect us and I'm thankful for that. Mom looked like she had been crying silently to herself "mom what's wrong?" She looked at me and hugged me so close and tight she said she was sorry that she couldn't protect me and that she was there now, tears dripped down my face as I hugged her. Maddie was watching TV but something was off with her, last night must have traumatized her all over again and I couldn't blame her. "Maddie...baby I'm so sorry I let that happen to you again....I'm so sorry" I say crying to her. I got up and walked into me and Dani's old bedroom and just cried myself to sleep.

I dreamt of being able to fight Lex and protect my family but I couldn't in real life. When I woke back up it was dark and hadn't eaten all day. I looked for my phone and called Cash to ask her to bring me some food but she didn't answer. It wasn't late just 6:00pm so I decided to call the therapist for Maddie to schedule a family appointment for the next day.

"Dad" I say calmly. From the way he said hello I could tell he wasn't happy to talk to me. "I know we don't have the best relationship but I have some thing I have to say to you but the most important thing is I need your help" after about 30 minutes of talking and trying to convince him to help me he finally gave in. I drove to his place and got started.

My dad is a very important man in the city and he can have anything done for him at the snap of his fingers. I told him about Lex and that she needed to be stopped....my father actually seemed to care because he was just as angry as I am and was. He got us undercover 24hr protection and he had people looking for that lowlife piece of trash Lex, he promised no one would know about me getting the cops involved and I was happy. We talked about things since we last talked, he told me he was sorry for not accepting me when I came out as a lesbian and that he regretted it. When I told him he had a grandchild on the way he was extremely excited and swore he would be there for him or her. I gave him our new address and told him I had to get back to my wife and daughter, he hugged me tight and it was so full of love that I sheaded a year or two.

I had a missed call from T and called her back she wanted me to bring food because she didn't want mom's to have to make dishes. I got food and headed to her.

I was in the bathroom washing the dried tear stains off of my face when I heard Cash come in. I hugged her tight and smiled when I seen she had got us Chipotle which is my favorite.

She pulled me into the room and told me what she had done, a part of me was furious then the other part was happy that she cared so much. "What if Lex finds out you got the cops involved and kills Maddie" I say having a panic attack. She calms me down by grabbing my neck and kissing me deep and full of love. After we broke the kiss she told me that her dad had helped her and I was shocked because her and her father were not on good terms since she decided to date me. She told me that he was excited to meet the baby and to hang out with Maddie and be a better father and grandfather.

I was so happy that they worked it out so fast. Maddie found us and hugged Cash. "We have a family therapy session in the morning to talk about last night" I say stroking Maddie's natural fro. I pulled them into a hug and held them close "I love you two more than everything on this whole earth" I let go and we walked towards the kitchen to eat dinner. For the first time in a long time I felt at peace.
