I woke up at 6am and looked at Cash. I went to shower and brushed my teeth, Cash was scheduled for her CT scan at 7am so I ran to the cafeteria to get breakfast, which was just a huge tray of eggs, which are my favorite. I carried my breakfast to the room and ate until they came to take Cash for her scan. I kissed her and watched them wheel her down the hall and through the double doors.

I called mom's and told her everything she told me not to worry and that Cash is strong and will pull through. We said our good byes and I called the nurse. I asked what was the age limit for the ICU and she said there was nun which meant Maddie could come. I went and picked up Maddie from her friends house and thanked the twins mother for keeping her and we drove to the hospital.

I let Maddie press the buttons once we got into the elevator "press number 5 baby" we waited and stepped out on the 5th floor. "Maddie we have to be quiet on this floor because people are resting, ok" she shook her head. We walked into Cash's room and she wasn't back yet. "Are you hungry princess?" She said no so we sat down and waited for Cash to be rolled back. Maddie was quietly watching movies on her tablet and coloring. Cash was back and was rolled into her room and her nurse said that the doctor would be in later today.

I fell asleep with Maddie curled up to me when I felt a tap on my shoulder when I opened my eyes it was the doctor. "How is she doctor, please give me some good news" he said that she is way better then before and that he was taking the breathing tube out. The nurses were in the hallway getting prepared. The doctor shook my hand and walked out and the nurses came in and started to remove the tube. Maddie was watching the whole thing and asked if momma was ok I picked her up and said yes. The tube was out and she was breathing on her own. The nurse told me she would most likely wake up within the next couple of hours.

Maddie asked for some food so we headed to the cafeteria and I let her pick some food and of course she chose a cheese burger and fries "is that all baby" I asked her she looked around and ran and came back with a strawberry banana yogurt, I got the same thing with sweet potato fries instead and we headed to the register. The nice lady complimented Maddie on how cute her hair was and proceeded to check us out, I paid for our food and went to sit down at the table to eat.

As we ate I heard my name being called on the PA system saying go to the ICU. We rushed too Cash and when we arrived she was awake. I was so relieved to see her, the doctor was doing a quick evaluation and turned to me saying it was a miracle. The nurse came in with a chart and was talking to the doctor which gave me an opportunity to actually focus on Cash "omg baby i knee you was gone be ok" I said kissing her Maddie kissed her cheek and started crying. Cash was weak but managed to smile weakly before falling back to sleep.

I sat on the couch and called moms, she didn't answer so I left a voicemail telling her that Cash was awake. The doctor waited so talk to me again, he told me that Cash won't be able to talk for a while but everything else is looking good, well better.

Im super disoriented and can hardly move but I see Tiff talking on the phone. Since I'm so tired I drift back to sleep. Tiff must have noticed cause she grabbed my hand kissing it I manage to open my eyes and smile slightly which cause her to shed a tear. As I drifted off again I heard a quiet I love you from Maddie. I can't wait to get out this bed and get on with my life.
