There I sat, at a table in a café in Los Angeles. My sketchbook open with my phone sat beside it, sadness lingered inside me. I sketched anything and everything, if I saw an interesting feature of a person I'd draw it out.
I got caught up in it and sketched a person I wished I could see again, my eyes watered and a single tear ran down my cheek, I missed them dearly.
"Hi," someone said. I turn my head to see a dark brown-haired man that was pulled into a man bun. Familiar...
"Hi," I said nervously.
"Is this seat taken?" He asked, pointing to the seat across me. The café was quite crowded.
"No," I said. He set his cup down and slid into the seat in front of me.
"So what're you drawing?" He asked, attempting to spark up a conversation.
"Nothing specific," I said, keeping my eyes on the page. He takes his jacket off, placing it on the open part of the table.
"Can I see?"
"Sure." I hand the book over and hold the pencil tightly, nervous of opinion.
He flipped through the scattered thumbnails of happiness, sadness, and everyday actions. Some had color splattered into it, some with much more detail than others. He arrives at a blank page before handing me the book back.
"So what's your name?" He asked.
"Y/N," I said
"Nice name, I'm Corey," He said smiling.
"So that's where I remembered you from," I said.
"YouTube?" He asks.
"Yeah. Often when I'm working in art or something I listen to your podcasts with Aaron or even just watch older videos of everyone," I say to him.

Corey had won a competition that wasn't established with words, who could say the stupider phrase. I look out the window to see the dark blue sky but not at its full darkness yet. The yellow lighting illuminated on the buildings and streetlights with the stars poking out from the sky.
"Damn, it's 7," Corey says, staring at his phone for a few moments.
"Damn," I said laughing.
"Could I see your sketchbook momentarily?" He asks.
I hand it over and he grabs my pencil. He opens to a blank page he was at previously and at the bottom, scratches something down. He hands it back with a smile on his face. "Bye Y/N."
"Bye Corey."
He stood up with his phone and the cup he had drank from to toss it out. I was gathering my few items before noticing the jacket he had left, I looked around to see if by chance he was still in here. He wasn't. I picked up the jacket, my phone, sketchpad, and pencil and stuff it into a small bag I had.
I walk on the street to my apartment and a breeze blows by, a few goosebumps appear on my exposed skin. I debate for a second whether or not to out the jacket on or not, I decide to. I place my bag on a bench and quickly slip the jacket on before picking the bag up again. I walk along the street once more, looking at the passing scenery.
I arrive at my apartment and toss the small bag in the corner of the room that's my bedroom. I grab a water bottle before pulling out the sketch pad and phone from the bag. I toss them onto the desk. First, I pick up the phone to play some music. Then, I open the sketchbook and find what Corey did.

It was nice talking to you! Maybe we could chat again sometime? :)

Below that was a picture of a stick figure with a man bun. I laugh at his failed attempt of a drawing, it was a good try. I create a new contact on my phone titling it Man Bun and the picture of the stick figure.

You:
Hey, this is Y/N.

Man Bun:
Glad to know you got my note

You:
And beautiful picture, better than the Mona Lisa itself.

Man Bun:
I know 😂

You:
Well, I really just needed to tell you that you left your jacket.

Man Bun:
Maybe I did it on purpose
Jk jk

You:
Wasn't gonna work anyways 😂

Man Bun:
Haha well I'll leave you be

You:
Peace

Man Bun:
Duces

I open my sketchbook after starting some music on my phone. I started to sketch out a base for a person, I slowly transformed it into Corey. To the side of that, I sketched several things from the body's anatomy to basic shapes.
