(Chapter 8) Room 801

I couldn't breath.

I kept seeing a child laying there in cold blood.

My child.

I had killed 2 humans in less than a week.

I felt strong arms grab me from my hunched over position.

They lifted me to my feet but as soon as my weight fell to my knees I collapsed.

Romeo had picked me up, this time swinging me over his shoulder.

"No time to cry if you want to live" he whispered harshly.

How was he walking, let alone carrying me? He just got shot.

I continued to cry until I blacked out.

"Alia. Wake up."

I felt something slap my face.

A yelp and then, "Sir that's not going to help."

I slowly open my eyes and sit up.

"Hi." I say casually confused.

I see Romeo slightly smile then he walks out.

"Here take some water." The nurse says handing me a styrofoam cup.

I sip it, "how long was I out?"

"Just a few hours."

A headache comes spinning in when my memory floods back in.

Fuck

I lay back down on the bed I'm already on and sigh.

I want to cry but I know that won't help one bit.

I've been living off of pain killers and chocolate the past few days.

The nurse lets me go after a little convincing that I am fine.

I go to my room and sit on my bed.

10 minuets of staring at a wall did me no good.

I hear a knock.

It shocks me out of my daze.

"Who is it?" I say getting up to go to the door.

"Hunter."

I open up the door and peep my head out, looking to the left and right, then I pull in Hunter by his collar.

"Jesus Alia, playing hide and seek with the big bad wolf?"

I laugh.

"Not exactly." I pause to look up at him as we sit on my bed.

"He wont let me talk to you."

"Makes sense, Mr. Santarossa and I have a very... lets just say, difficult past."

"What kind of difficult past?" I ask leaning forward.

"Nothing for a beautiful innocent girl, like you to know." He genuinely smiles looking into my eyes with a slight tilt in his head.

I blush and look at my interlocked hands.

"I'm not as innocent as you think."
