Shit shit SHIT

I was late.

Kinda late.

Ok very late.

I had decided to take a nap around two, wake up at 2:30 and head to my appointment.
Simple enough right?
Yeah no.
3:30.
I woke up at 3:30.
So yes, one would consider that late, and I hadn't saved that guy's number. What was his name again? Todd? Goddamnit it was in the name of the damn store!

So I rushed my converse on and out the door I flew. The walk was fifteen minutes so that meant I would arrive by 3:45.
Or so I thought.
Waiting for cars to cross by and a mix of different people walking their dogs had distracted me from my goal.
My time?
3:54.
When I rushed in like a bat flying back into hell I probably wasn't looking my best. Panting and sweating from my run, hair sticking this way and that from my previous nap as I had no time to brush it, and my clothes not the neatest they've ever been, made for a very hot mess of a woman.
I had also remembered the name of the man who had helped me set the appointment. Tord. An interesting name I must admit. But a name. So that was about all I had going for me at that point.

Seeing the back of his head behind the counter, i decided to make a little joke out of how i met him yesterday by walking up and ringing the little bell.
He turned around, got one look at me, and put a hand over his mouth, holding back what I assumed to be a laugh.

"I am literally SO sorry. I took a nap and I suppose I overslept. I would've called but I didn't save the number." I explained, desperately hoping he'd accept my apology.

He nodded and smiled after regaining his composure.
"Yes I assumed something unexpected might've happened. You look like you just ran a mile." He said, "so I pushed your appointment to four." He looked at the clock and nodded, "you can sit in my office for the next five minutes if you'd like. I have some work to finish up and I'll be with you, it's just over there."
He pointed towards a door a little ways behind the counter, the word 'manager' was taped across it.

I nodded and huffed, "thank you."

"No problem." He replied.

It was a few awkward seconds before we both went our separate ways. He went back to working and I headed towards the office.
