It's been ages since I uploaded this so, as an excuse not to do homework, I decided to work on An Angelic Protector~ ^^ The beginning's a little rushed but I was kind of excited for the Haru bit so, yeah..

Once Shigure had found out about my 'homelessness', he was all too delighted to let me stay at his place, unsurprisingly the first offer being his room. Pervert. But once Yuki--and his dangerous schoolbag of dictionaries-- had whacked some sense into him, it was decided that I would be sharing a room with Tohru.
I'll be honest, I wasn't all that impressed when Yuki shared this idea with the household. After all, this was Tohru. The enthusiastic girl who insisted on waking up at stupid'o'clock in the morning and obeyed Shigure like she was the dog-in-training, and he was her master. She seemed nice enough, but the same overly joyful 'I'm-the-luckiest-girl-in-the-world' smile was constantly painted on her happy-go-lucky, care-free face. It annoyed me a little, how could she be so happy 24/7?
I couldn't believe it had been two weeks since that day--the same day Kyo stormed off to the roof in a huff-- and he still hadn't said one word to me. Not one word. The one time we had to be in the same room--dinner, he tried to avoid my gaze, and vice versa, but anytime our eyes did meet he'd shoot a deathly glare in my direction. I'd just smirk and turn my gaze to my plate or whoever was talking at the time.
But, as I was saying, time had flown past so quickly it was almost scary. On weekdays, we all had a sort of routine. By the time I had woken up in the morning, Yuki, Kyo and Tohru had already left for school, which would leave just Shigure and myself in the house for a few hours. I wondered--worried, even--about the types if things Shigure would try, but it was unnecessary. The most he ever did was flirt like a cheeky schoolboy. Whenever he did that I'd just roll my eyes and ignore him, earning a "Aiko! You're no fun!" in response.
It just so happened to be a Saturday today, and it was silent. No loud, pointless argument between Yuki and Kyo, none of the needless apologies from Tohru, and no perverted comments from Shigure. That's when I remembered, Yuki had said he'd be shopping today, as the fridge was beginning to look empty, and Tohru insisted she should join him and help carry the bags. Shigure had explained over the dinner table that he was, to put it simply, somewhere hiding from his editor. He hadn't told me exactly where, probably because he'd figured that if the poor woman came knocking, I'd spill.I smirked at the thought.
"Wow," I thought, I hadn't even been here for a month, yet he already knew me too well. As for Kyo, well, he was nowhere to be seen. But he certainly wasn't in the house. "Maybe he's on the roof," I pondered, wondering if I should search for the uncharacteristically quiet cat when there was a knock on the door. I quickly walked over and opened it, peering through the door frame to examine who was waiting on the porch.
There was a very hyper, young looking boy with blond hair who was wearing girls' clothes with an adorable, wide smile. "That's Momiji!" I realised, and I only had to have a quick glance at the leather jacket the person beside him was wearing to recognise him too. "Haru!" I exclaimed, he was much taller than he was eleven years ago, and had filled out. He had the same white hair on top, and I guessed he hadn't changed the black, after all, it was fairly impossible to change.
His lips formed a small smile, he remembered me! "Aiko-San." he said in his usual, calming tone, causing Momiji to look up at him in confusion. "Haru? How do you know the pretty lady's name?" he questioned, and I looked at them awkwardly.
"We were...friends, Momiji." he replied, and Momiji turned to me,
"So, if you were friends, does that mean the pretty lady--I mean, Aiko, knows the--" his voice changed to a whisper, "--secret?" He grinned as he spoke, and, to save Haru having to explain, I nodded. "Yes, I do," I started cheerfully, "You're Momiji, and you're the rabbit!"
"Woah! You know my name? Did Tohru me mention me? Did she?" he giggled and looked up at me hopefully, and Haru latched onto his arm gently yet firmly to keep him from tackle-hugging me. I didn't want to break his heart of pure gold, so I flashed my most convincing smile and laughed softly. "Yes, she did!" I turned my gaze to Haru, and could see the hundreds of questions in his eyes.
"Erm, how would you two like to come in? Tohru made some snacks, maybe we could get to know each other better." I asked, and I didn't take my eyes from Haru's, but I could see Momiji nodding vigorously in the corner of my eye. "Yay! C'mon Haru! You know Tohru's cooking is the best!" he giggled.
"Yes, I think that would be a good idea," Haru stated, finally looking away from me and turning to the happy bunny with a small smile.
