I couldn't stop thinking about James. His eyes were the colour of the leaves as Autumn started. I spent the whole day at school and didn't focus in school. God man, why are you so beautiful?

What can I say? Eyes were meant to look and admire beauty. I giggled as I thought of James' hands travelling- whoa.. whoa.. quiet Alana. Just as I shaked my head stopping my imagination to go wild I saw James having the same class as me. Shit. No way in hell I'm gonna focus in class now.

"Hi" James whispered close to my ear as he sat behind me.

"Hey." I tried to say as he played with my light brown hair. Well, Someone's enjoying this. My little conscious says. I AM NOT. I'm surprised. Sure you are. I can sense the little voice smirking at me.

"So, Alana, enjoying your new school?" He asked but we all knew what it was. I was practically drooling when I saw his smile. He had dimples! It was so cute!

Well, goodbye to straight A's this semester. All I could feel was his touch, circling my back as I stifled a moan. Dammit. We just met and he can do this to me? I'm a strong independent woman who's going to be successful in life.

But that was gonna change soon. The bell rang and I technically fast walked out of the classroom to prevent any more touching from James. Problem now is that I don't know where my other classes are until I bumped into someone. A girl with blue eyes and hazel brown hair. Skin as pale as a white wall. She looked so fragile but damn was I wrong.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there and—" I said as i was helping her up with her books.

"It's cool, no worries. I'm Jewel by the way." She smiled the brightest smile I ever seen. I like her already.

"Alana" I said as I smiled at her. Cheeky little creature.

Today has turned out to be better than I thought.

"Jewel, might I ask where room 24-B?" I asked shyly.

"I'll give you a tour of the school during lunch alright? You and I seem to be in the same class." She said while giggling. We walked hand in hand to class.

"Hey Jewel, how long you been in this town?" I asked while sitting side by side after we found the class. This school was huge.

"All my life. Why? You need a tour guide of the whole town? I'll show you all the best shops to go around!" God, she talked a lot but I got a new friend. And James. He's not a friend. He's an acquaintance.

Just when I was about to fight with myself.

"Hey wanna come over to my house later and go shopping?" Jewel asked.

"Yeah sure. I just gotta let my mom know first alright?" I don't know if my mom will let me but it doesn't hurt to ask so I sent her a text before class started.

Mom can I go to Jewel's house after school? She's gonna give me a tour of the town? Please? Pretty please?

No reply yet. Hmm.. I'll just wait till class finished.

A beep came from my phone. CRAP. I didn't silence this shit. I got a heart attack. Damn.

"Ms. Alana, I will not tolerate any use of mobile phone in my class, understood?" She scolded me. Why? She came to my seat and took my phone.

"You'll get it after class is finished." And from there, discussion was over. Great.

Just as class finished I took my phone and checked my messages.

Mom: Sure. But don't stay out too late. We have to go to the police station to get your statement.

Me: Again? Fine. Who are we meeting anyway?

Mom: A Detective Matthew, I think. He wants to clearly get your statement since you're all healed from everything.

Me: Him again? Well okay. I'll see you at 5. Love ya mom!
