I looked up at the board. Her eyes looked black from across the room. She was a killer, you could see it in her face. Couldn't help but wonder... Where are you?

"She'll kill you, especially if you provoke her. And trust me, Wolfhard, you're gonna provoke her."

"... She's a kid." I mumbled.

"Doesn't matter. She has more confirmed kills than anyone on your squad and it's all bullshit to her. Her family's been loyal to the Russian government since before World War One. She was bred to serve."

I briefly scanned the file on Y/n L/n. She was only seventeen.

"I don't kill kids."

"Well we're not asking you to kill her, Finn, we just need her in the states," Caleb said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Give me one good reason." I spat, dropping her file. "She was raised by the fucking government, she doesn't know what's right or wrong."

"You really think she doesn't know what she's doing?" Caleb scoffed. I cocked an eyebrow at him. He shook his head and picked up the conference phone. "Sarah, can you bring me the file on Munich bombings? Thank you."

In came the receptionist with a yellow folder. She handed it to Caleb and smiled before leaving without a single word. Caleb thumbed through it before handing me a picture. It was a man with a black hood over his face and bloody words scribbled into his chest.

"да здравствует россия."

He handed me another image and another and another.

"What does it mean?" I replied, running my fingers over the cuts.

"Long live Russia." He handed me one more image of Y/n. It was a blurry security photo of her. "Finn, she knows what she's doing. She left him there alive for days. Stab wounds through both hands and—"

"And a message. She's trying to tell you something."

"And what's that?" He sighed.

"That you can't have her."

"Again."

My hands remained in the air and I softly pulled them through the rhythm of the music.

"Dance is a delicacy only so many can master." She called. "You must learn to be fluid and restrained." I stood straight on my toes, they ached.

"Stop," Madam W. demanded. Immediately each of us stood still. "Y/n, step forward please." I stood flat against the floor before walking to the front and center of all the other dancers. "Your ankles shook."

"I'm sorry, Madam."

"Head up." She hissed. I looked up into her eyes. "I will not tolerate your sloppiness."

"Yes, ma'am," I replied. She nodded before harshly whipping my ankle with her cane. I took a deep breath. The muscles in my neck flexing in pain and my face holding back whatever emotion threatened to escape.

"Get back in line." I nodded and went back to my spot in line and got into position.

"Endurance is key and I expect you all to be able to complete this with absolutely no mistakes, otherwise, my teachings will have been for nothing." She sighed, "And I will not accept that, you are the future of Russia."

"Why do you want her so badly?" I queried.

"We want to contain her. She is their most prized soldier. She pushes Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova to the bottom of the food chain."

"Who is Yelena Belova?" He ignored me and stared me dead in the eye.

"That girl right there," Caleb said, pointing at her picture, "is a cold-blooded murderer." I stood silent. "And the Russians have twenty-eight other girls just like her."

"I think you're playing with fire, Caleb..." I replied.

"They made a little girl into a killing machine." He concluded, "We need her."
