I push myself up and take a look back at the forest, ever since I was 11 years old I've always played in this place. Everything about the forest I know like what berries are good to eat, what animals live near, and the sounds that are common to hear. But since that I'm older something feels different about it.

For a second I rearrange my equipment and then head back home, thinking about the feeling I had back there was not hard to ignore. It's better to go home and try to find some answers

Arriving home I greet my uncle and head to my room. I proceed to remove all my equipment except my helmet then take a seat on top of my bed. Closing my eyes I remember the stories my grandfather told me as a kid, he served in the United States Army in the Second World War, have to admit but he was very lucky to survive the battle of D-Day. But not all the stories he told me were about the war- he told me a story about when he was helped by someone or something, my grandfather claimed it to be a 'someone' who dragged him to safety when he was injured in the line of combat. He couldn't really tell me in detail because for unknown reasons, my grandfather chooses to keep them secret. Sadly however those secrets will never be uncovered due to his death by old age- but that did not stop my curiosity.

I look at the time, "Getting late, gotta sleep."

Setting my helmet down on my nightstand I tuck myself in bed as my eyes slowly close.
