I jolted up out of my bed, my heart racing like something happened.
"I must know the meaning of the dream! There has- AAAAGHH!" I shout. My mind is going wild about a dream I had from a girl at my school. Taking a look around and seeing the time is 8:28 in the morning I go head to breakfast.
Entering the kitchen I see my uncle starting to cook bacon and mix cereal. "You look like you're not doing well, is there anything you need?" He asks. I sigh then open my mouth "Nothing, I have to go back to the forest. It's like a puzzle- but with no end."
Returning back to my room I pick up my gear and head out the front door. As I walk the sun shines behind my back, cold air and the stillness of trees accompanied by birds singing surround me.
Entering the forest I begin my new 'mission' at doing whatever comes to mind.
Taking a deep breath I start to speak, "The 285th Wolf Paratrooper bomber carrying the 10 members was shot down by Viet snipers. With only one survivor left he proceeds to complete his mission behind enemy lines.."
For a second I feel that I've forgotten to do something. The realization comes to my mind, I have forgotten to eat.
Putting my knapsack down I pull out a lighter, can of meat, a small knife, and my canteen for cooking food.
I walk around and gather a few edible berries and herbs along with sticks for the small fire I will make.
Dismantling my cooking equipment I make a makeshift stand to make room for the sticks under my canteen then take my flask and pour water until it is half full. Taking my knife I cut small pieces of meat and cut the herbs into small pieces then take a few berries and squeeze the juice inside then take my lighter and start the fire.
-10 minutes later-
With my small meal completed, I pull out a miniature jar of spices and add a pinch in. I close my canteen containing the hot food and set it aside and take water to wash the spot where the fire was at.
Laying on the tree I savor my food. Hearing a dining noise from my knapsack I open it to pull out my phone that was tucked away.
I answer the phone to hear my uncle's voice, "You haven't eaten yet, want me to bring you food?" He asks. "I'm literally eating right now until you called me." I proceed to send him a picture of my meal and with him being satisfied of my reasoning we end the call.
