just keep cuddling me
you're the one and only key
to my love and heart
so please don't ever departSeungmin glanced at the girl sitting next to him. She looked right back at him, and gave him the happiest smile ever. A smile tugged at his own lips involuntarily, by just looking at her.
'Why are you staring at me?' She asked, still smiling.
Seungmin blinked, his own smile fading, then said uncertainly, 'I thought you were gone, but I guess you aren't.'
'Why would you think I would leave? I have you, and that's all I need right now.' She moved closer to him on the sofa, and cuddled into him, her head buried into his neck.
Seungmin wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her head. His fingers played with her soft hair; a small smile lifted the corners of his mouth. Her body felt so small and delicate in his arms, and a sense of protectiveness overwhelms him.
Mine, he thought. They held each other like that for a long time, with Seungmin's arms locked around her securely.
Somewhere in the middle of the movie the girl shifted and drew away from him slightly to look at him. Seungmin tilted his head, his gaze questioning.
She smiled softly, and reached her hand up to his lips. He chuckled against her gentle fingers. 'You want a kiss, don't you?'
The girl nodded, her eyes casted down in shyness, despite the many times they'd kissed before.
Seungmin cupped her face ever so gently, and he leaned forward, his lips colliding with hers tenderly. Within a split second, they were both lost within each other's touch. Warmth flooded Seungmin and he pulled her even closer, their body melded together like two puzzle pieces.
Slowly, but finally, he began to believe that the girl wasn't leaving. Why did he first think that she was gone? He couldn't even remember.
When they both came up for air, Seungmin could only smile at her flushed face. She averted her eyes and Seungmin chuckled again.
She was only this shy whenever she was alone with him. It didn't make sense, but whenever they're alone, the girl always got flustered much more easily compared to when they were with other people.
Seungmin pulled her close again, his arms now around her waist. He kissed her forehead lightly.
She tensed up a little, before relaxing again. She mumbled, 'What...what was that for?'
Seungmin teased, 'You don't like it?'
'No- I meant- I did, but- why-' Her eyes were wide- her cheeks tinted pink.
The boy cut off her stuttering, his eyes sparkling in amusement. 'Don't panic okay? I'm just messing with you.'
'You-!' The girl pouted and turned away.
Seungmin laughed and ruffled her hair, thinking that she looked just absolutely adorable.
After awhile, the movie they were watching came to an end. The girl slowly untangled herself from Seungmin, who reluctantly let her go.
She smiled, 'I'll get us drinks from the refrigerater.'
'Okay.'
The girl disappeared inside the kitchen, and after a few seconds, she screamed.
Once.
Before the house was thrown into an uneasy silence.
Seungmin jumped up from his seat in alarm, and his fears from earlier came rushing back. He ran to the kitchen, turned around the corner, and came face to face with his own nightmare.
A man clad in full black pressed a knife against her neck.
Seungmin yelled angrily, though he was very much afraid, afraid for her life, 'What do you want?'
'I want your heart to break,' the man's voice sliced through the perfect quiet.
Without waiting for response, in one clean cut, the man slit her throat.
Seungmin screamed in horror, and lurched forward, catching the girl's body before she fell.
He's crying, shaking - panic overwhelming him. 'No, no, you're not leaving me...we'll find help, we'll fix you, you just have to hold on.'
But the girl smiled weakly up at him, 'Seungmin...you know...it's too...late...to save me...'
Seungmin cried harder, cradling her delicate body in his arms. 'Don't leave me...not again...'
Her eyes met his for one last time, 'I love you, Kim Seungmin...' She tries to reach for his face, to touch him-
But she was gone.
Seungmin backed away, not wanting to see those lifeless eyes, not wanting to-
Believe.
He felt as if something had been wrenched away from his heart. Something important. Something vital.
A cold hand closed around his heart, and fury rose up in him. He never felt so cold before. Never.
Before he could even find the man who killed the girl, a blinding white light slammed into him, and he jolted awake.
