After my stressful music class, art came around uneventful. Maths was drama free too.I walked out of Maths to the cafeteria, only to be stopped by the Queen Bee herself.
"Listen Beats, keep your hands off of Ian. You got that? If I so much as smell your perfume on him, you can kiss those cool new hits, goodbye. Because you'd be dead." Brittney hissed at me and started to walk away.
"You know what? I don't care what you do to me. Just remember one thing Brittney. You may act like a Queen around here. But I dig deeper. I can find your weakest breaking point just like that!" I said and snapped my fingers.
Before she could do or say anything else, I pushed through the crowd that has formed and video taped it.
I went into the cafeteria and up to the kitchen doors.
I walked in and up to Marry.
The head cook at our school.
"Hey sweetie. The usual,I am guessing?" She spoke in a sweet motherly tone.
"Yes please." I said and went up behind her and gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek.
She giggled and smacked my hands away so she can get free.
"Here you go honey. Enjoy." She said and gave me my tray of food.
"Thank you Marry." I said and took the tray and walked out of the kitchen and back into the loud noisy cafeteria.
I went to my corner table, which is way at the back were no one can bother me.
I sat down and took my phone out of my pocket and started up my speaker.
When the first part of my new mixes that I made last night came through the speaker, everyone cheered and started to dance around like wild party animals.
I looked around at everyone, to make sure they liked it. When I sow the smiles on their faces, I set my phone on the table and started on my lunch.
A warm cup of coffee, with fries and a extra tomato chicken salad.
Marry sure knows me better then I know myself.
I ate my fries then my chicken salad and finished my coffee, when I turned my music off, everyone knew the bell was going to ring in 10 minutes time.
That gave them enough time to go to their lockers and restrooms.
This is one of the reasons the Principal agreed on this.
I play music before school, at lunch and an hour after school.
Everyone has a blast. They show up more to school and to their classes.
I packed up my stuff, and picked up my tray with my bag over my shoulder.
I walked back to the kitchen, I gave my tray to Sophie and thanked everyone before I went to the rest of my classes.
By the end of the day, I had Maths homework and that project for the music class.
I went to my locker and got out my second bag before I went to my car.
I opened the door and placed my bags on the back seats, before I opened my trunk.
In the trunk of my car, I made a medium sized DJ set.
4 Speakers, one Laptop and a mixer.
I started to blast music for students in the parking lot, when someone tapped my shoulder.
I turned around just in time to see a fist coming towards my face.
I was a second to late, and the fist connected with my cheek, making my head whip to the side.
Not caring about the pain on my face, I swang back with much more force.
I heard a crack and looked through blurry vision at the person on the floor.
Brittney lay there holding her now bleeding nose.
"Why did you hit me?" I hissed at her.
"I warned you." Is all she said before she ran away.
I shook my head and wiped the blood off of my hand.
I touched my cheek were she hit me, and gave a little unnoticed, cringe.
Something warm and wet dripped down my nose. I brought my hand up and swiped under my nose.
When I brought back my hand, blood was smeared over it.
A few seconds later, another tap on my shoulder came.
"What the fuck do you want?" I hissed as I cleaned my nose and face.
"I wanna say sorry for Brittney's bitchy attitude. And I wanna talk about the project." Ian spoke with concern in his voice. When he was done, I took one more breath.
I finally turn around and looked at him.
"It's fine Ian. We both know why she's like this. I'm a nobody and she's everything. I'm just 'Beats chick' and you are popular. She's just jealous." I explained and got a notebook and pen out.
"Of what is she jealous about. Me and her are not even dating. This is rediculous. Hey. What are you doing?" He asked and came to stand next to me.
"This is our practice times. And we may practice at my house. I have a dance studio and gym at my house. But it is up to you." I gave him the piece of paper with my name, cell number and address on it.
"Yeah. That's cool with me. Are you sure you will be fine to get home?" He asked and came to touch my cheek.
I pulled away and walked to the trunk of my car.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Text me if you have any changes you want to add on there." I said and stopped the music.
Everyone whined, but started to leave anyway.
"Hey, listen. Do you want me to talk to Brittney about leaving you alone?" Ian spoke in a soft voice.
"I can handle her. You know how easily I can get her fears to show color." I joked around and closed the trunk.
"Yeah. How could I forget. Your first day here. I was looking for trouble with the wrong girl." He said and chuckled.
"Yeah. But anyway, I'll see you." I said and got into my car.
"See you soon, cupcake!" He called out with a smirk and a wink.
He turned around and got on his bike. He revved the engine four times when he looked at me.
I revved my car four times and took off, out of the school parking lot and on my way home.
