I took us to the gym and we started to search for the perfect song to dance to.

"Maybe we could use this one. What do you think?" Ian asked with a frown.

"Let's see." I said and took his phone and pressed play.

When the lyrics came on, I started to move my body but something felt missing.

"Something is missing. Don't you think?" Ian asked the question on my mind.

"Yeah. Is the moves working?" I asked and moved again.

Ian came and dove right in so we are dancing together, but nothing felt right. And Ian must have felt it too.

"I see what you mean. It's not the moves. Maybe it's the song. We swayed from left to right, so why not dance to a sad song?" Ian spoke with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Why do you want to?" I asked in a soft voice.

"It would suit our history, don't you think?" He tried to joke. But I can see it in his eyes, he is as heart broken as me.

"Okay. Let's have a look." I said and turned back to the laptop.

When we found nothing, Ian said I should choose a song, but for now, we should just dance to any other song.

So that is what we are doing right now.

We are dancing to a sad song that came first through the speakers.

Hold you on the dance floor.

Ian took my hand in his and pulled me to the middle of the room.

He stood behind me and placed his arms at my sides. Now if he moved his arm or hand my arm or hand would move with him.

He started to lift our right arms and slowly placed it over his shoulder before doing the same thing to our left.

"Just relax and follow me and listen to the music." He said as he placed his hands on my waist.

This one stance took me back to the Halloween dance we did 3 years ago.

We swayed from left to right till the perfect time came before he held me close to him then spun me out and pulled me back to him.

🎀🖤🎵🎶🎵🖤🎀

Hold you (×14)

Hold you on the dance floor

Hold you (×14)

Hold you on the dance floor

We keep behind closed doors
Everytime I see you
Whilst I died almost every
Moments steal as the curtains fall
It'll never be enough

As you drive me to my house
I can't stop the tears from Rowling down

You and I have to hide from thé outside
I can't be yours and you can't be mine
But I know this
We've got a love that is hopeless

🌺🎍🎵🎼🎵🎍🌺

But can I hold you in my sleep and kiss you on the dance floor.

I wish it can be like that
Why can't it be like that
Because I'm yours

We went and stood like that for a second beford we started to move in different directions before I stopped and turned as fast as I could and started to run to Ian.

He turned around just in time to catch me as I twisted and fell backwards.

He pulled me up and ran his hand down my spin before he took hold of my hand and spun me around and dipped me.

I went up and did the Dab as he came closer.

As I was in that move he turned me around so my back was to him.

He stood with his hands under my arms and moved me back a little then placed his hands under my arms and lifted me up into the air.

As I was air born, I twisted around so when I came down, I would be facing him.

As I slip down, Ian and I's eyes connect and stay locked on one another. Not even noting that the song has changed about 15 times. I only noticed when the one song we both knew by heart came on.

Young like me - Black Summer

That is when I noticed that we have been dancing over three hours now.

I took my hand out of Ian's and turned around.

"I think we should stop and take a break to use the restroom and eat dinner. When we're done, we can come and practice some more." I said as I took my jacket off and took my towel.

As I started to wipe down my face, I realized that Ian had said nothing since we came down here.

I turned around and sow Ian...

Gone.

"Ian?" I spoke with confusion in my voice.

I looked around and sow all his things still here.

"Ian!?" I called out loudly.

Nothing.

I decided to see if I had gotten any texts on my phone.

Ian maybe went to the bathroom.

Just as I took a seat on a chair, a door slammed shut.

I jumped up and ran up the stairs and started to search for the source of the loud slam.

I checked every room in the house except for one.

My music studio.

I turned around and started to sprint to my studio.

No. No. No. All of my secrets are in there. All my feelings. My pain. Everything.

As I came to a stop infront of the door, my heart was beating hard and loud against my chest.

I placed my hand on the knob and took two deep breaths before I closed my eyes and counted to ten.

Just when I calmed myself down a new feeling came rushing back.

Longing.

Before I could open the door, soft strumming of a guitar started to play.

Confused, I turned the knob and slowly and quietly opened the door.

I took a peek inside and what I sow, broke my heart. But it melted like butter under the warm sun on a summer day.

Ian was busy breaking my heart.
But maybe he is fixing what he once broke.

But what I sow he's doing right now, that made me want to cry.

Only because he is...
