Baby shower

Laineys POV.

I heard the click of Rowen being locked into his carseat and my mom closing the door and hopping in the car. We were on our way to the baby shower. Since Bailey spent the night with us we were just going to give her a ride to it. Jay was also coming but his older brother was taking him.

I felt the car start up and looked over at Rowan who looked really happy. He loves car rides. "This is going to be so fun!" I heard Bailey say as we backed out of the driveway.

"I know. It's going to be super fun!" I said back to her. She smiled and looked over at Rowan who was being super cute as usual.

I got out my little purse that had stuff like my makeup and phone in it. I reached in it feeling around for my phone. I pulled something out but it wasn't my phone. It was the friendship bracelets that Bailey and I got at hottopic.

"Here. Remember we bought these yesterday?" I said and handed her one. She nodded her head and slipped it on. I put mine on too. Bailey took out her phone and took a picture of our arms with the bracelets on. I did the same. Bailey and I our now officially bffs forever.

We got to the place where my mom would be having the baby shower and we got out of the car and got Rowan out of his carseat.

We walked in. What my mom didn't know was that everyone was already there. My dad carried Rowan in. When my mom walked in everyone yelled "SUPRISE!" My mom looked a little startled but then looked around and saw everyone there.

"Uhh... Wow. I didn't think everyone would already be here!" She said. My moms friend walked up to her.

"Wait. Why don't you have a big baby bump?" My moms friend asked her.

"Oh. Yeah. He came a little bit early. By a little bit I mean one month." She said to her. Everyone was suprised that the baby came early but they were all happy that they got to meet him.

Bailey and I hung out together just talking. Jay walked over to me and gave me and Bailey a hug. I saw that Jay had someone with him. Whoever was with him had swoopy blonde hair, dark brown eyes, and was really tall. "This is my friend Jackson." Jay said pointing to him.

"Hey." Jackson said. Bailey and I both said hi to him.

Jay and I found out that Bailey and Jackson have A LOT in common. Bailey and Jackson talked for a long time. It was so cute. Jay and I kept teasing them saying that should date because Bailey always says that about Jay and I.

Jay and I went outside and walked around in the dark for a while.

"The stars are pretty." I said looking up as we walked. Jay looked up at them too.

"Yeah. They are aren't they." He said and sat down on a bench that was out there and I sat next to him.

"So..." I said. "What should we do?" I asked him.

"I want to give you an early birthday present." He said.

"My birthday is in two months but okay. What is it?" I asked him.

"This." He said and then did something I didn't expect him to do. He kissed me. Full on the lips. "Lainey you probably already know this but I've had a huge crush on you for a while and I really like you. You're sweet, beautiful and careing." I was speechless.

"Jay. I've felt the same way about you." I said. He pulled me into his arms and we just sat there hugging for a while.

We walked back in the building hand in hand.

I let go of his hand and walked over to Bailey who was by my mom watching her open presents.

My mom got a lot of little cute outfits for Rowan from our friends and family members.

I spent the whole night hanging out with Bailey, Jay, and Jackson. I told Bailey about what happend between Jay and she squealed. She had always wanted us to be more than friends.

I wanted Bailey to spend the night again and she wanted to too so my parents said that she could.

Before I got in the car to go I hugged Jay and gave him a quick kiss. Only Bailey saw me kiss him. "Aww." She said when she saw us. Jay and I both blushed and then his older brother brought him and Jackson home.

Bailey buckled Rowan up and then she got in the seat next to me.

Bailey and I fell asleep in the car together. Tonight was one of the best nights of my life and it ended in the perfect way too. Falling asleep in the back of my car with my best friend.

Jay and Lainey are in love!!! Yay! And Lainey and Bailey are now officially best friends forever! Perfection and happiness!
