Sophie's POV

Sophie was busy helping Edaline make the huge Christmas feast. There were platers upon platers of food on the table. The sound of Edaline's constant snapping filled the air. As Sophie rushed back and forth, from the table to the kitchen, Verdi's screeching came from outside.

"Oh Sophie, that's probably the Vackers!" Edaline called, "can you let them in?"

"Of course!" Sophie whipped off her apron, and quickly tried to dust the flour from her clothes. She rushed to open the door, expecting to be greeted with an abundance of glittering teal eyes, but instead found herself face to face with a pair of ice blue ones.

"Oh! I thought you were Fitz!" Sophie took a surprised step back.

How many times a year had Keefe had enough decency to arrive somewhere early?

"Merry Christmas to you too Foster." Keefe replied, his trademark smirk visible.

"O-oh, I-Im sorry, I just didn't expect you to be early." Sophie ducked her head while trying to hide her face behind her blonde hair.

"Awww, it's alright Foster. I was only teasing." His tone light.

"Sophieeee," Edaline chastised, "are they allowed to come in or did they get the invitation that said they're welcome to stand in the doorway?!"

"Oh! Sorry Mom, I just got distrac- oh, nevermind!"

Sophie opened the door, and Keefe strode in, a bundle of presents in his arms. He made his way over to the Christmas tree, but not after shooting Sophie a wink.

Sophie felt her cheeks heat up, and saw Keefe's eyebrows raise. He leaned in and was about to whisper something in her ear, but then suddenly jumped back. The gifts tumbled from his grasp. Sophie looked up to find the source of the interruption, and spotted Edaline leaning in the doorway.

"Why hello Keefe, Merry Christmas! When you rang the doorbell I thought you were Alden and Della with Fitz and Biana."

"Well, I know I'm handsome, and nothing beats The Hair, but to confuse me with Fitzypoo? I don't know, seems a bit of a stretch."

Edaline looks at him like he's crazy.

"What?! Both of you thought I was Fitz." He defended, incredulous.

"Edaline, Sophie! Did the Vacker's just arrive?!" Grady shouted, coming from down the hall.

Keefe shot both Edaline and Sophie a look like see?

"Oh no, it's just one of Sophie's best-friends," Keefe struck a pose, "you know, the one she finds attractive, brave, heroic, devilishly handsome, sweet, kind, good-looking, loyal, did I mention good-looking?"

Grady came into sight, let out a sigh, uttered a quick hello, and started to leave the room. But then turned around and hissed at Sophie to get "that boy" under control. Meanwhile Sophie flushed with embarrassment. She was about to protest, but she was interrupted again.

"Eadline doesn't Sophie still need to help you out in the kitchen?" Grady mentioned hopefully. He started to tug Sophie out of the room and away from Keefe.

"Oh Grady, honestly let the two be. I can finish up myself." Edaline shot her husband a look that said cut it out.

"But she still needs t-"

"For heaven's sake Grady it's Christmas day!!"

"Oh alright." He grumbled, and left the room pouting.

Yaaay we all love Grady don't we? Anyway hope you guys had Merry Christmas, or if you don't celebrate, a good day!! 🎁😁💕
