Crwoan spent most of the day looking around. He inspected the small garden, played with a few of the bugs, and followed Jarox to check in on his traps for food. He didn't say a word, just observed everything. Oryikil stood back and watched him, curious about, well many things. Every so often Crwoan would stop and feed his dragon on his head, the crumbs falling to the ground, but It didn't phase him.
That night, Jarox made another bed in the storage area so that both could rest there. It was easy since they were so small. As the fire died and everyone was resting, Crwoan stood silently walking into the main room. He stood back, seeing Jarox cuddled up on his bed. He inched forward, setting his dragon on the table before standing at the edge of the bed staring, his head just barely taller than the mattress. Jarox rolls over, with a sigh, blowing out. As Crwoan stepped back the floorboard squeaked, catching Jarox attention. [ Perception 16] Jarox wasn't spooked seeing the boy inches from his nose. He sat up, resting on his elbow.
"Oh. Hello." He yawned. "Is everything okay?" Oryikil peeked out from the, noticing that[ Perception 21] Crwoan was gone. Crwoan didn't answer, he stared for a moment before patting the mattress. Jarox watched his motions, connecting some dots[ Insight- 22]. He smiled, shaking his head.
"Sure, I don't mind sharing." He leaned over helping Crwoan onto the bed. He crawled over Jarox, cuddling into his side. Jarox watched, then smiled as the boy settled.
"Well I... I didn't know we were all-" Oryikil's are were arched back as she stuttered. "I want to cuddle too." She admited lowly with a blushed face. Jarox held out his arm invitingly with a smile. She hopped over jumping into bed. Jarox stared up the roof. The number of new experiences he was gaining just within the last few days were overwhelming. He'd never known another touch before now, he didn't want the two to leave now. Though he knew he couldn't keep them here...
The sun rose gently, and as it peeked over the mountain, as did Crwoan. He scooted to the end of the bed, sliding off. He grabbed his dragon before walking to the door. The other two, being warm and cuddly didn't seem to notice [ Perception-O- 10 J-Critical fail 4]the boy leave. He walked through the garden, his hands running across the leaves of the taller plants. He found a comfortable spot in the grass, facing the sun. He sat cross-legged, his hands on his knees and stared as the sun rose higher.
Oryikil rose, peeking over Jarox, which woke the man. She noticed[ Perception-23] that Crwoan was gone. She scanned the room seeing the door was ajar.
"Where's Crwoan?" Jarox asked with a yawn.
"I think he left?" Oryikil said sitting up more. They walked outside scanning the area. It was hard to believe that he would just up and leave. As Oryikil searched to the left of the house, the same direction she had come in on, she isn't able to see anything[ Perception- crit 6]. Due to Jarox's height [ Perception-18]t is able to spot some broken leaves in the garden, making him look beyond and notice the boy sitting in the grass. Jarox will tap Oryikil and lead the way.
"What do you think he's doing?" She will ask lowly. He shrugs, as both keep an eye on him. "Do you think he's dangerous?" Jarox will look down.
"Everyone thought I was dangerous." He gives a smile, but Oryikil knew exactly what he meant by the comment. As the two approached Crwoan doesn't seem[ Perception 6] to notice them. Oryikil took lead from Jarox who sat next to the boy, she took the other side. They both saw that he was just staring straight ahead without blinking. Jarox smiled closing his eyes to meditate. Something he's never done, but liked the relaxation he had already felt. Oryikil took the opportunity to meditate as well, become one with nature in her druidic powers.
It seemed a few hours had passed before Crwoan looked at both of them, wondering when they had gotten here. He shrugged, coming out of his long daydream. As he stared forward he noticed[ Crit 24] something laying in the distance. As he walked away silently. It wasn't until he made it across the field before the other two noticed.
"He's certainly quiet isn't he?" Jarox chuckled making Oryikil smile.
"He is, and very mysterious." She hummed as they walked towards the boy. He was holding a twisted stick in each hand. The end of one seemed serpent-like. Neither of them knew what it was, but it seemed more like[ History-8] a dragon to Jarox. Crwoan tried fitting the pieces back together, but the stick seemed to break more.
"Here, I can help." Oryikil hummed lowering herself to her knees to be leveled with Crwoan. She held onto the stick, pushing them together. Casting her spell, mending, the sticks turned into a staff. Crwoan's face lite up as it formed, he stood showing his quarterstaff to the others. It was then his eyes widened in shock as if he was just remembering something. He sucked in deeply and following the buckle on his chest, he reached to his back feeling around. He looked at the two before holding out his hands. He held his flat palms to each other then moved them out, his face questioning, his eyebrows arched down. Both of them[ Perception, O-21 J- crit- 23] instantly recognized the movement to mean 'book'.
"Book?" Jarox asked. "Are you missing a book as well?" Crwoan shook his head and began walking to search the area. Jarox and oryikil shrugged and helped. They spent the day looking, even moving into the forest, but didn't find even a shred of paper. Crwoan's face shifted sadly as they walked back to the cabin for dinner. Oryikil rubbed his shoulders, trying to comfort him. As Jarox took the first step inside, Oryikil heard the usual thump. Crwoan watching the man tilt his head to the side to walk in. Crwoan and Oryikil exchanged a look. Crwoan pointed at the one piece of wood above the door, then pointed to the door itself. He did more motions with his hands, but Oryikil seemed to understand[ Insight- 17] what he meant. She smiled nodding, she peeked her head inside.
"You go ahead and start that, we will be right in." She chimed. Within the hour it took to make food, the other two removed the piece of wood, Oryikil using mending again to attach it to the door. This way when Jarox walks through it, he won't hit his horns. The work seemed seamless.[ Nature- group average, 19]
"Dinner is ready!" Jarox announced as they finished. They gave a high five then ran in. They both watched, wondering when ht would notice.
"Ugh, I can't take it anymore!" Oryikil gasped, Crwoan shaking his head, feeding a piece of bread to the dragon.
"What?" Jarox looked between the two.
"We fixed your door!" She smiled.
"There wasn't anything wrong with my door?" Crwoan sighed. Using his hands he displayed Jarox's horns running into the top of the door. Oryikil giggled.
"Exactly! Now you won't bump your head every time!" Jarox stood taking a step out and then back in.
"Oh, I see..." He mumbled, blushing as he smiled at them. "That was very nice of you to do." He mumbled rubbing the back of his head. After dinner, Jarox had been wondering if he would be expecting the other two to join him in bed again. He would be lying if he said he didn't like it... It made him more comfortable, and less lonely. Without hesitation, Jarox climbed in, but Oryikil waited for more of an invitation. Jarox smiled towards her and waved for her to come over.
