Crwoan pushed himself to the end of the bed, climbing over the other two. He ran to the table, throwing his dragon on his head. The movement made Jarox stir, which woke Oryikil as well. It took only a brief moment for them both to bolt from the bed.

"What's happening!" Oryikil gasped, Jarox seeing[ Perception-20] the figures on the outside. His mouth fell open, as he took in the fire, the damage to his home.

"They found me." He mumbled, thinking that the townspeople have finally met had their strike of luck. "We need to get out of here before everything comes down." He ordered, the covers being flung from the bed as he jumped up.

"But where?" Oryikil stood on the bed to get a better look for an exit. The fire was now covering the walls, climbing up the roof. Crwoan pointed, seeing[ Perception, crit-24] the door to the storage room, seemed to be the one thing that wasn't on fire. Jarox narrowed his eyebrows, putting all his mustered up feelings behind him. He didn't have the time to worry about the few small possessions he had. With a quick movement, he scoped[ Strength- 14] up Oryikil and Crwoan into his arms. He dodged[ Athletics- 24] a part of the roof that had finally given out, now catching the bed on fire. With his momentum, he bends over, running his horns [ Goring rush- 24]straight into the door. The weakened door shattered around him, the room was generally untouched, but the fire was still coming through the windows. He turned to the back of the house, noticing all the civilians were in the front area and rammed[ Goring rush- 20] the wall this time. The wall itself had had a little more traction than the door, but it was still able to crumble around him. He leaped a few large steps out of the way as the storage area began to clasps. With the other two tucked tightly he was able to keep them both uninjured. However, he did sustain some cuts and burns[ 6 points of damage.] along his arms, ripping his clothing. He lowered himself to his knees to catch his breath, the other two hovering next to him in worry.

"Are you okay?" Oryikil gasped, Crwoan hugged his dragon tightly watching the two.

"I am fine, we need to leave before they know we escape. Oryikil will turn to look at the house. Another part of the wall had fallen, allowing her to see Jarox's lute sitting on a lower shelf. The shelf above was on fire, but the instrument itself seemed to be unharmed, but didn't have much more time. In the brief moment, she remembered his playing and couldn't bear to watch his instrument take the damage. Oryikil dashed towards the house, taking in the structure. There was a big enough hole over the bed to jump through.

"Wait! No!" Jarox yelled reaching for her, but missing[ Acrobatics- 5] due to her speed. With a quick leap, she jumped high[ Acrobatics-21] up and into the hole. She was able to miss[ Dex- 24] the scorching bed, landing on the weakening floor. She dashed forward jumping for the Lute. As she approached the shelf broke away, the fire consuming the lute. She gasped raising her hand, casting control flames to push it away from the lute. She jumped grabbing the instrument, tucking into her to keep it safe. She evaluated[ Perception 18] the situation and her exit, the storage area was no longer an option, but a cracking from behind her caught her attention. The window burst, sending its shards like missiles[ 3 points of slashing damage], but creating a small opening. She gulped, taking a running start, and jumping[ Acrobatics- 25] through the window. Which moments after she had cleared the structure, crashed and burned into flames. Jarox let out his held breath as she ran up.

"Let's get out of here." He scooped them both up and ran into the forest. Even with the stress of the events, he was able to navigate flawlessly[ History 17]. It seemed like a while before he came to a stop, the fire was no longer visible, even with the height it was achieving. However the chants of the people were still heard by Oryikil and Jarox, they were muffled, but heard.

"Where are we?" Oryikil will ask as they are lowered. Jarox on his knees, his head lowered and breathing staggered. Crwoan stepped forward feeling the oddly warm mist coming from a gentle waterfall. Jarox didn't answer, his head rolling with his situation. How could this have happened? He kept nulling over. Crwoan and Oryikil locked eyes for a moment before she laid a hand on his shoulder.

"Come on. You're hurt, take off your shirt and get in the water." She ordered. It took some nudging from Crwoan to get him moving, but he did as he was told.

The pool of the waterfall wasn't deep. With Jarox sitting with his legs crossed, it came almost to his ribcage. Oryikil summoned her healing spirit, which was merely a small bunny, making sure he was fully healed. Even though she had finished, she began pouring water over his head, and down his long hair.

"It's gone..." His voice was low as Oryikil retrieved a brush from her bag and began brushing out the tangles from his hair. Crwoan was sitting on the water edge, his legs crossed as he stroked his dragons head and neck on his lap. He watches, trying to see what was being said. Jarox mostly just mumbled to himself, Oryikil gently responding, but letting him continue. A while had passed. They had moved out of the water, Crwoan curled up into Oryikil side against a tree. Jarox had used his shirt as a blanket for them. He couldn't sleep anymore. Instead, he using a small path to lead up the steep mountainside where the top of the waterfall was located. He sat next to the water in a meditative stance. He could see the gentle smoke still coming from his house, the sun began to rise.

He took in a long breath, trying to extinguish his negative thoughts and feelings of hate. As he peered down at the two still asleep, he realized what it was to feel loved. Oryikil jumped into the fire to save something important to him. She didn't know that it was his mother's Lute. Still, she risked her life. He wasn't sure what to think of his situation, but maybe putting some trust into them, things would end up okay. He smiled down for a long moment before walking down the mountain path to them.

"Hey, it's time to wake up." He nudged the two, watching for Crwoan to open his eyes. "We need to discuss what we're going to do now."
