Izuku was paler these days, afraid to go outside because of Kacchan. His bully and ex-friend, his tormentor since he was four and pronounced Quirkless. Izuku knew better than to trust anyone, he knew not to fall into false hopes and cry over demeaning words.
He sighed, leaving his barren and plain room to go to the park, passing his mother who was passed out on the couch with a familiar tasting liquor in her grasp.
Izuku left the apartment and locking the door, quickly running down the stairs and leaving the full complex to head to the green covered park.
Izuku walked for a few minutes before arriving at his desired destination, the park was near empty as it was Autumn and the chill of the wind drove most who came to play in the summer away.
He noticed two men in hoodies speaking to each other, being wary of others and a mother with her child, reminding him of his better childhood days.
Izuku sat on the old swing, slowly going back and forward without a second thought, keeping an eye on everyone in the park just in case.
"DEKU!" He heard a familiar voice thunder, he quickly looked to the park's entrance to see him, Bakugou.
Izuku's eyes widen and he quickly got off the swing, running from his bully as fast as he could, ignoring the concerned look from the mother and the suspicion cast on him by the men.
Kacchan caught up with him because of the explosion quirk the bastard holds, quickly using explosions on him and burning him, he noticed the kid from earlier about to get into Kacchan's blast range as he charged his explosions so Izuku kicked Bakugou off him and covered the child as the timer went off, burning his back as he kept the child close to his body, when the pain ended he let the kid go, "Okay, can you go back to your mother?" Izuku whispered softly and smiled slightly even if it pained him, the boy nodded and ran off as Izuku stood painfully, wincing at the burns and pain of the attack.
Izuku didn't look at Bakugou, he didn't need to look to know the smug smirk the bastard sported on his lips.
He noticed that the men in hoodies were walking towards him as he crumbled, falling to the ground as his legs shook in fear and shock, any adrenaline made during the rush quickly disappeared. The men quickly ran over, calling an ambulance as he slowly saw black fill his vision, "I'm- fine" Izuku struggled to say, "You're not fine, you'll probably pass out from blood loss!" A scratchy voice spoke, being careful to touch Izuku with only four of his fingers, "What's your name?" Another voice asked, deeper than the one before and smoother too, "M-midoriya Izuku" he mumbled, closing his eyes and letting the darkness take over him as he heard sirens sing in the distant.
The ambulance was here.
