Jon's POV
Lin and I had stayed behind talking after we finished a show of Hamilton. It was about midnight when we decided to head to our homes. Lin to Vanessa and Sebastian and me to my empty house. Lin exited first while I quickly grabbed the last of my things but when I got to the back entrance which we were both leaving from I saw Lin standing at the open door looking at something in the alleyway.
"Lin?"
"There's a girl sleeping in the alley"
"What?" I said squeezing past Lin to get a better look outside. Lin was right, there was a girl sleeping in the alley.
"What do we do?"
"I don't know. Should we wake her up and ask if she's okay?" I asked.
"Okay Groffsauce go ahead."
"... I'm nervous."
"same."
"What if she's hurt?"
"Let's go over together."
"Okay."
We both cautiously walked over to the girl and I gently tapped her shoulder. The girl's eyes sprang open and she quickly shuffled back trying to get away from us. I crouched down in front of her and looked hesitantly at Lin.
"It's okay we're not here to hurt you." I said quietly in the most soothing voice I could.
Her eyes flickered between us as she breathed heavily and shrunk into herself. "D-don't s-send me back, p-please."
"Back where?" Lin said as he knelt down next to me.
She shook her head very obviously scared.
I turned to Lin. "Maybe we should bring her inside?"
"My name's Lin and this is my friend Jonathan, but you can call him Groffsauce," She smiled slightly at that. "Would you like to come inside with us out of the cold and we can sort something out and maybe call your parents."
Her smile dropped and she started to shrink back into herself. "My parents are dead but p-please don't call my foster father please."
"Hey, hey it's okay we don't have to call your foster parent just please come inside with us." I extended my hand slowly towards her. She flinched away but then cautiously accepted it. I smiled as I stood up and pulled her to her feet.
Lin stood up next to me and opened the door letting us back into the theater.

I know this didn't move the plot forward too much but I felt like I needed to just introduce Lucy to Jon and Lin and get them inside the theater so that they can do the talking and stuff.
