my hands shaking and clammy, i sit slowly into my chair. i look at my boss in front of me, waiting for her to begin.

clearing her throat, she begins, ❝ for starters, you aren't being sacked. ❞

i let out the breath i didn't know i was holding. she smiles as she sees me loosening my muscles.

❝ you're being moved wards ! ❞ joohyun, professionally known as irene, excitedly exclaims.

for my whole time working at cheongju women's correctional institution, i've only been in one ward, and thats ward C. there i've dealt with assault, sex offenders and rape. scarring, but not as bad as the crimes people have committed in ward F.

i nod, at a loss for words. i've never dealt with someone like her.
