Kory watched Dick and his friends approached. "Who are they?" She asked Dick.

"I'm Alister. A friend of Dick's." Alister said. He tugged at the bottom of his jacket. His wings were ready to tear through the leather.

"I'm the person who knocked you out." Said Donna. As feisty as ever.

"Bet you can't do it twice." Kory responded.

Donna shot her look. A look that meant "Don't tempt me."

"Kory, whatever this is you're going through, please let us help." Dick said.

"I don't need your help." Kory responded. She turned and reached for the door. Her hands quickly retracted to her temples. She swayed on her feet.

"Is she okay?" Asked Alister.

"You're getting your memories back." Dick concluded. He watched Kory struggle to remain upright.

"Yeah," She said as she turned around. "But nothing makes sense. I can't make order to anything. All I know is I tried to kill a girl that I love and I don't know why." Said Kory.

She turned back to the door. "But the answer is in here."

Kory yanked the chains off of the door. She pulled it open and stepped inside the dark building. She didn't wait for the others to follow.

"Does anyone else feel a little uneasy about this? An alien assassin leads her lover and his friends into an abandoned building..." Alister whispered.

Donna shot him a look. The look was enough to silence Alister. He reluctantly followed behind them.

They walked through the deserted building. Trash bags floated in puddles of rainwater. The metal beams holding the building upright were rusted beyond repair. What answers could possibly be hiding here?

They came to a stop in front of an empty space. A beam of light shot out. The light scanned their bodies up and down.

"Woah." Said Dick. He looked around like a deer caught in headlights.

"What's going on?" Donna asked.

"This is some spooky shit, Kory." Alister said.

Alister's jaw hit the ground. An alien ship began to manifest out of thin air. A modulator whirred and beeped as it did so.

"This ship... I know it." Kory said. She turned to the others. "It's mine." She said.

"Koriand'r." A robotic voice said.

"X'Hal." Kory responded.

A hatch opened up before them. A metal ramp slid out of the hatch. The ramp thudded against the ground. Kory stepped inside with no hesitation.

The others remained behind. "I... I haven't been in a ship since..." Alister's throat constricted before he could say the words. His wings fidgeted under the pressure of his bindings.

Dick took his hand. "I know." Said Dick. His calloused hand was gentle upon Alister's. They walked up the ramp together.

They walked through the large ship. Some parts were  well-lit while others remained dark. "The ship must be in energy conservation mode." Alister said.
