Chapter 6

Something bad did happen.

The king continued to question Daniel for a little but longer before letting him go,but not entirely.
"Julican,set up a room.I want to have Daniel as a guest at the castle for awhile"He smirked at the demon,Julican scowled at the ground & growled quietly to himself.

"Yes sir"He turned & walked out the room,heading to a room he thought Daniel would like.

Downstairs Daniel was heading our of the castle when someone pulled him back by his shirt.He whipped around to see the man that was standing next to the king before.

"Hello!I'm Yawn!Nice to meet you!"He grinned widely at Daniel, Daniel raised an eyebrow.

"Hi,I'm Daniel.Nice to meet you too"He responded,giving a small smile back.

"I need you to come with me!I was ordered to bring you to your new room!"Yawn chirped,Daniel's eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

"What new room?I don't live he-..."He thought back to the look on the king's face as Daniel was leaving the room.That smirk,he knew something was up,now he knew what."No,I'm not living here because he wants me too.Tell him to go fuck himself"Daniel pulled away from Yawn & started walking down the stairs leading away from the castle.Suddenly he felt an aura coming at him quickly,he swiftly dodged the attack.He looked down & found Yawn smiling up at him.

"That was cool!Not a lot of people can dodge me!"Yawn chuckled happily,as if he hadn't almost hit someone.

"Why did you do that?What's the point?"Daniel scowled down at him,Yawn giggled for a moment.

"The king wants you to stay in the castle as our guest for a while,he seems to find you interesting!Which would mean he & Julican both think so!I'm intrigued to find out who you are!I hope we can be friends!"Yawn smiled,just as quickly as it appeared on his face, he was coming at Daniel again.

He didn't like this at all,the king thought he was interesting?Are you serious?!3 months ago he was living in a small town,working at the gym,hanging with his bff,etc. Now he's being attacked by Lucifer's right hand man because he was found interesting by the king?What the heck!Daniel swiftly dodged again,he had a weapon on him,of course he did,he tried to always have one with him at all time.He didn't wanna hurt him though,but he also didn't wanna stay in the castle!Most people would probably love this kind of attention from the king,but he didn't.He hated this!He was causing him too much trouble,it wasn't worth it!

"Yawn,stop it"A familiar voice ordered,the two looked to the top of the stairs where Julican stood, staring down at them blankly.

"Julican?"They asked in unison.

"Daniel,we would like you to stay with us in the castle for awhile. You will have your own room,food & drink,& whatever you please within reason"Julican was trying to butter him up,& to be fully honest,it almost felt like it was working...
Key word:almost.

"I'll lack one thing in there that I won't be able to get until I leave"

"You can ask one of the guards to get anything you want from the places outside the castle-"

"Freedom"

"..."

"Daniel,we aren't going to be locking you in a cage!You will be allowed to go in & out of the castle!We just want you to live here for awhile!The king just wants you around!"Yawn chuckled as if it was obvious, Daniel looked at his confused.

Julican sighed deeply.
"I think Yawn gave you the wrong impression earlier,he is correct though.You will be able to leave, we aren't putting you on castle arrest"He raised his glasses again, Daniel bit the inside of my cheek roughly.

That offer sounded better than what he thought it was earlier,he didn't have anywhere to go anyway,this was probably his best option.

"Wait,castle arrest is a thing?" Daniel chuckled,the thought of one of these two being trapped in the castle gave him a funny thought.

"Unfortunately..."Yawn huffed, Daniel guessed he'd already had a few before.

Daniel sighed as he looked up at the two,him being further down the stairs than both.
"Fine,I'll stay,but do I have to interact with HIM?"He emphasized the last word hoping they'd understand...or at least Julican would.

"You only have to speak with him if he asks for your presence. Though with him being the one to arrange your stay here,he may do it often"Julican informed him, Daniel slouched as he walked back up the stairs,Yawn walk next to him happily.

"Y'know,if you want people to be your friend,you shouldn't attack people"Daniel looked at Yawn, Yawn returned the look,his face showing confusion.

"What?But Julican told me people would wanna be friends with me if I did that!"Yawn frowned at him,Daniel chuckled breathy.

"You took friend making advice from Julican?I haven't known him very long but he seems like the type that isn't great at that"Daniel look up at Julican as they were now right in front of him.

"But Julican wouldn't have told me to do it if it wasn't gonna work!" Yawn complained,Julican sighed.

"Daniel's right,I only told you to do that so you would stop making friends with everyone.You need to learn to not make friends with sketchy looking people"Julican turned around & started walking back into the castle,the shorter men followed.

"Julican!"Yawn whined,Julican chuckled silently for a moment as he lead them to where Daniel was going to be staying.

Julican opened the door to a bedroom,he ushered Daniel in.
"Now that you know where your room is,we'll leave you to explore it.If you need something,come to the throne room"Julican gave him a small smile before closing the door,multiple footsteps were heard heading away from the room.
