✨Taejun✨

Yeonjun is scared of the thunder and Taehyun tries to calm them down during an particulary heavy storm.

Yeonjun didn't know when this fear of thunderstorms started, but he always speculated it was after the hurricane that happened when he was younger. This hurricane ripped through his town and destroyed the beautiful buildings and hurt many of his friends families. It didn't make it any better that his parents weren't with him during the storm and he left in their old house alone. He can vividly remember the sound of the wind and the moans of the house being torn apart. It was his childhood trama. Anytime there was rain in the forecast Yeonjun would freeze and have a panic attack. It was worse were there was thunderstorms, he would hyperventilate and he would get flashbacks from the hurricane. Of course none of the members knew this, only Soobin who would care for Yeonjun during storms. So when it started to rain out of the blue Yeonjun couldn't handle it.

They had the day off and the weather forecast said it would be cloudy but no rain. So Soobin, Kai, and Beomgyu went out to get groceries and other things, but Yeonjun and Taehyun decided to just stay in the dorm and hang out. Yeonjun was in his room just listening to music and scrolling through his personal social media, and Taehyun was doing something in the living room. Then a loud rumble and crack drew his attention from his phone. He looked out the window and saw the drops that littered the window and then a flash of lightning. His eyes widened as he remembered the windows covering in rain and the shatter of the glass as debris broke said window and water started coming in. He blinked and was brought back to reality, he was screaming and trying to curl himself as small as possible.

Taehyun Hurd this but figured that he had just seen a spider or something and continued to watch TV. Yeonjun on the other hand had been taken back to this terrible point in his life, and after getting his bearings remembered that he needed to hide somewhere safe. He fell to the ground and screamed as another wave of thunder, lightning, heavy rain and hard wind hit his window. He winced but pushed himself up and sprinted to the bathroom. He left the door open and could still hear and see the rain. He covered his ears and screwed his eyes shut. He was in the bathtub and was crying hard as the thunderstorm continued. It wasn't half as bad as Yeonjun was imagining it was but it was all to real and too much for him. Then a particularly loud and strong rumble shook the house. He screamed.

This all finally alerted Taehyun as he found his band mates behavior odd and unnatural. He slowly walked to the bathroom and looked in. "Bro, are you in here?" He asked. Yeonjun shivered and let out a loud sob as the house shook again. Taehyun was shocked. "Hyung?" He called out again. Yeonjun wouldn't look at him, lost in his past. Taehyun slowly approached and then the thunder seemed to shake the house the worst it shook. Yeonjun again let out a plea for help and a sob. Taehyun tentatively touched his shoulder, momentarily gaining Yeonjuns attention. "Hyung, are you ok?" Yeonjun had big teary eyes and his face was wet with very fresh tears. "Taehyun-ah?" He asked, voice hoarse from the crying. Then the house shook again and the power went out. Yeonjun's previously clear eyes went cloudy in a second. Taehyun was confused but he knew something was very wrong, and his hyung needed him. He got into the tub sitting beside Yeonjun and softly pulling him into a hug. Yeonjun clung to him as the house shook again. Taehyun stroked his hair and rubbed his back as he whispered encouraging words to him. Yeonjun calmed as the shaking of the house started to stop. Then Taehyun pulled up his hyung and guided him to the couch. He settled himself and Yeonjun into a cuddling situation. He continued to rub his hyungs back and let his hair until the thunder subsided and only the pitter patter of the rain was left. Yeonjun stopped crying and just clung to Taehyun. Taehyun knew they needed to talk about what happened but it could wait. Yeonjun needed to calm down and regrasp his sense of reality.
