By the time we arrived, I was singing at the top of my lungs and poor Yeontan looked like he wanted to die.

I hopped out of the car and searched out the hidden path, finding it almost immediately.

I skipped towards it and once again, the fairy tale feel of it made me stare at my surroundings in wonder.

The sunlight streamed through the trees casting shadows onto the little playground. The swings, roundabout, monkeys bars and slide all had moss and plants growing all over. Nests of birds were in crevices of the playground equipment and the steady gurgle of the stream nearby gave me a sense of peace.

"It's so beautiful here." I whispered in awe

I felt him appear beside me.

"Yes, and I enjoy it because I can let Tannie free without worrying he'll get lost."

I felt tension grow in me once I realized that I was quite literally alone with him. Out in the woods. No one for miles.

He loves Jungkook.

I kept repeating this in my head to reassure myself and I turned to face him.

"So how have you been lately?"

I facepalmed at that cringey question but it was much to late to take it back.

"It's been a real eye opening month."

"Really?" I asked picking up flowers "Like what?"

"That I acted like spoiled 13 year old."

I smiled at him sheepishly, "I'm sorry I called you that."

"Trust me, I deserved it."

"Maybe a little bit but there were other ways I could have approached the situation." I said sitting down on a bench to weave the flowers into a crown

"What are you doing?" He asked sitting next to me

"A flower crown. My momma taught me how to when I was young. She'd love putting them on me. I guess since I was young she knew I would not be like the other boys."

"That you were gay?" He asked

"Yep." I wove the final flower in and held it out proudly "My sister would always tease me but secretly she'd take pictures and show her friends, bragging how cute I was."

"She sounds amazing."

"She was. Since I was...gay, most of the time I was bullied very harshly by both the teachers and students despite having the best grades."

"The teachers too?" He asked shocked

"Mhm. Even the teachers. I'm glad though. It made me stronger as a person."

"But still...that must have been awful."

"Not when I had such a loving family that would wipe my troubles away."

"How was highschool?" He asked

My smile faltered, "Awful."

"I'm sorry." He said

"What's past is in the past. No use dwelling on it now I guess." I picked off a ladybug that was on a flower and gently set it on the ground

"Here." I handed it to him

"For me?" He asked

"Well I don't see anyone else around here." I dramatically looked around and under the bench before looking back at him and smiling

"Well you have to put it on." He said handing it back

"Huh? Why me?" I asked feeling a blush begin
