I didn't realize I was already carrying her, until I finally noticed the eagle eyed stares; I was receiving from the many bystanders. All my hope in humanity, was gone when nobody seemed to take the initiative of getting help or atleast ask if she was okay. Surely, they couldn't believe I was some modern day superman; the only reason I did not appear to be struggling to carry this girl, was because of her weighing like a small sack of potatoes.
I knew I was quite weak, with my condition and the mere fact that I had no muscles or that much strength; hell, a girl was way stronger than me. There wasn't any time for me to question anything and I knew that as I now fastened my pace. She was wounded and I could only think about her well being at that moment. Nothing else mattered to me and for that mere moment, I didn't want to fall dead.
I had to save her.
It was all confusing and I didn't know why I was involved with her.
I had blocked out the world around me, her now being the only thing that mattered. I was close, a few more rushed steps away. My already frail heart, in a endless state of fast beating. I was sure she would be able to hear it, and that kind of bothered me. The steps seemed never ending and I started feeling quite uneasy. I felt reassured and calm when I saw some nurses as my legs failed me and I was now numb. For the first time in my life, I thought of someone other as myself as I made sure her head was on my shoulder. The numbness and the darkness I was now deeply emerged in was indeed horrifying but I made sure to scream a few words before I was surely gone.
¨Save her!¨
My lips now finally closed and the deep numbness being nothing but a terrible agony.
