It was an ordinary day at Buckner Hall, a preparatory school in Kansas City, Missouri. Bayley was sitting in chemistry class next to her best friend, Seth Rollins. Everyone was in the process of testing their blood type for an experiment. In the back of the room, Buckner Halls designated bad boy, Dean Ambrose sat by himself. Everyone else was waiting for their lab experiment to finish but Dean was clearly uninterested. Bayley made the mistake of glancing back at her old friend but she quickly looked away when he noticed her.

"Done." Seth said as the teacher, Ms. James walked by.

"Very good, Seth." She said.

Seth gave her a flirtatious smile but she ignored him. Bayley laughed at Seth's confidence before beinging her attention to her own experiment.

"Wait.. this doesn't make any sense."
Bayley said.

Seth looked over at her test.

"It says your blood type is AB." Seth said.

"But my parents both have blood type A." Bayley told him.

Seth looked at Bayley in confusion as she got an unsettling feeling in her stomach.

That evening, Bayley brought her concerns to her parents at the dinner table.

"This makes total sense. I always knew something was wrong with me. Just look at you guys, it's obvious now." Baykey told them.

"What is obvious?" Her father, John Kennish asked.

"I'm adopted, aren't I?"! Bayley asked seriously.

John laughed as Sami  looked at his sister in amusement.

"Don't be ridiculous. You were not adopted." Her mother Emily insisted.

"She's lying, you were totally adopted." Sami told Bayley.

Bayley just rolled her eyes at her brother.

"Then explain how I am type AB,
It just doesn't make any sense. Not to mention the fact that I'm a total outsider in this family. I mean where the hell do I even get this black hair from?" Bayley asked.

Emily shook her head in disapproval of her daughters questions.

"There's this genetic testing facility downtown that could clear all of this up for us." Bayley suggested.

Emily looked across the table at John in irritation.

"Fine, we'll go but only to put an end to this little adoption fantasy of yours." John said.

Bayley let out a satisfying smile.

"And when you find out the we are in fact your parents, you owe your mother an apology." John told her.

"Deal." Bayley said as Sami now shook his head in disbelief at his sisters persuasion.

A few days later, Bayley happily accompanied her parents down to the Kansas City Genetic testing center. John and Emily sat on each side of Bayley as they awaited their results. Even though Emily was sure that Bayley was not adopted she began to get a little nervous. John on the other hand had absolutely no concerns. Dr. Medina looked over their papers on the other side of her desk while all three of them waited.

"Mrs. and Mr. Kennish.. I am really sorry about this but it appears Bayley is in fact.. not your daughter." Dr. Medina told them.

Emily felt her stomach turn as John looked at the doctor in confusion.

"I knew it." Bayley said to herself in disbelief.

"No, you're wrong. Do another test." John insisted.

Dr. Medina took a deep breath and tried to keep everyone calm.

"Upon further inspection.. it seems that Bayley is the biological daughter of a woman by the name of Regina Vasquez." Dr. Medina said.

"I don't understand." Emily said in a panic.

"Ms. Vasquez also has a daughter about the same age as Bayley." Dr. Medina tried to explain.

"What are you trying to say?" John asked in frustration.

Bayley stared at Dr. Medina in confusion as she hesitated to continue.

"It appears your daughters were switched at birth." Dr. Medina revealed.
