It had been a week since Becky, Regina and Adriana moved into the Kennish's guest house. It was a Friday afternoon and Becky was supposed to start her first day at Buckner Hall on Monday.
"I'm just saying that maybe you should at least give her a chance." Seth told Bayley as they drove home from school.
"I don't like her." Bayley insisted.
Seth, with his wrist draped over the steering wheel looked over at his best friend.
"You don't even know her, Bayls." Seth reminded her.
"I don't care. She thinks she is so cool and just because my family had money I'm some kind of rich brat. That's not fair." Bayley told him.
"I just think maybe you guys got off on the wrong foot and if you guys talked then maybe-." Seth began to say hopefully.
"Then what? We'd just magically become best friends? No thanks." Bayley said as she crossed her arms and looked out the window angrily.
Seth shook his head in disapproval of Bayley's stubbornness.
Not far from the Kennish's, Sasha and Bayley were walking home from Carlton.
"I can't believe that was your last day." Sasha told her.
"I know.. Now I have to spend my days with a bunch of stuck up rich kids." Becky said unfortunately.
Sasha looked over at Becky with sympathy.
"Well on the plus side, I'm only like ten minutes across town and always a phone call away." Sasha told her.
"I know." Becky said with a smile on her face. "I don't know what I'm going to do with out you at school everyday." The two friends approached the Kennish's just as Seth and Bayley pulled into the driveway.
Sasha looked over as Seth and Bayley got out of his jeep. Becky rolled her eyes as Bayley began to storm into the house but Seth had other ideas. He walked straight up to Becky and Sasha.
"There's a party tonight at our friend Roman's house. You guys should come." Seth invited them.
"No thanks." Becky told him.
"We'll be there." Sasha corrected her friend.
Becky looked over at Sasha in disbelief as Seth let out a small laugh.
"Be ready at nine, you can ride with us." Seth told them.
As they turned around he saw Bayley giving him her infamous death stare frm across the driveway.
At Bucknerhall, Sami and Finn were in the music room holding auditions for a new female in their band. Sami ran his fingers through his hair in frustrations as Finn flirted with the girls that had already auditioned.
"I'll actually be at the party tonight if you wanna come find me." Finn told Alexa Bliss.
"I might just do that." She said as she twirled her hair.
Suddenly, another girl walked into the room.
"I hope I'm not late." She said.
Sami looked up at her in disbelief at her beauty.
"Uh no.. not at all." Sami told her
"Renee." She introduced herself with a handshake.
Sami smiled at her for a moment as he admired her deep brown eyes. Finn was so occupied with Alexa that he hadn't even noticed Renee walk into the room. Sami stood back and crossed his arms as Renee played and audio recording of the instrumentals to "You Don't Know" by Katelyn Tarver.
I know you've got the best intentions
Finn immediately looked over the minute he heard Renee's voice.
Just trying to find the right words to say
Renee's hair was put back into a perfect ponytail as she continued singing into the microphone.
I promise, I've already learned my lesson
Finn left Alexa's side and walked closer to get a better look.
But right now I wanna be not okay
Alexa couldn't help but feel a little jealous by the fact that Renee had caught Finn's eye.
I'm so tired, sitting here waiting
If I hear one more "Just be patient"
It's always gonna stay the sameSo let me just give up
So let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alrightYou don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's likeTears nearly filled Renee's eyes as she sang from her heart.
Can't stop these feet from sinking
Finn looked her up and down, observing her vintage jeans and black strapped high heels.
And it's starting to show on me
Renee wore a white long sleeve top with a gold heart bracelet on her wrist.
You're staring while I'm blinking
Sami was at a loss for words at the pure sound of her voice.
But just don't tell me what you see
Renee stepped back and caught her breath before continuing.
I'm so over all this bad luck
Hearing one more "Keep your head up"
Is it ever gonna change?Alexa casually walked out of the room as Sami and Finn had their eyes glues to Renee.
So let me just give up
So let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alright
You don't know what it's like
Yeah, you don't know what it's likeIf felt like the entire room was consumed by the Renee's jaw dropping voice.
Don't look at me like that
Just like you understand
Don't try to pull me backSami nodded his head along as he watched Renee closely.
Let me just give up
Let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alright
You don't know what it's like
Yeah, you don't know what it's like
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
Yeah, you don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
Yeah, You don't know
You don't know
You don't know what it's like
Yeah, you don't know what it's likeFinn's eyes softened as she finished the song.
Renee looked to the guys for a response but they had no words.
"So?" She asked.
"You're in." They both said at the same time.
Renee let out a laugh at the guys.
