After everything was organized - stuff, clothes - I looked at the clock and it was still 8:13 pm. My cell phone rang, my friend again. Why is he calling me? Then I remembered that I had not changed the chip, my phone was still with the old chip and number. I pressed the IGNORE button and turned the phone off. I changed the chip.

8:20 pm. I turned on the television - nothing interesting to watch; I picked up my book – I could not concentrate on reading; I took a shower - I put on the most comfortable clothes I found in the wardrobe and sneakers: I went for a walk.

I passed streets I did not know yet, but I did not want to get too far away because it was dark and I did not know the area well, so I decided to go back, and I took a different path, but parallel to what I had done on the way. Towards me came a man, as we approached, I recognized him: he was the same man I had seen earlier. And suddenly, when we were very close to each other on the sidewalk, he asked me:

"Are you still lost?"

I looked around to make sure he was talking to me. As there were only him and me in the street, I said:

"Excuse me. I didn't understand your question."

"I asked if you are still lost."

"N-no. Why?"

"I saw you earlier today, and you had the same look of 'what is this place?'"

I giggled and said:

"Actually, I'm new here, I just moved. I came for a walk to know a little more about here."

"So you must be living around here, right?"

"Ah yes."

"Are you coming or going?"

"Going."

"I can go with you, it's a little late, and there's a group of boys ahead, ..."

"It's all right."

We walked in silence, and then he asked me:

"What are you doing in this city?"

"I came to live here."

"And what brought you to this city?"

"Ex-boyfriends, family, ..."

"I understand."

"And do you live here or are you just spending a season?"

"I live here."

The walk was not very long, and soon we reached the gate of my house:

"This is my house. I stay here."

"Okay, so you're delivered. See you."

He turned to go, and then I remembered to ask:

"Can I ask you a question? What was that party about yesterday? And what were you doing there this morning?"

"They're two questions."

"I'm sorry."

"It was a party organized by the two universities in the city, and I went back there to get my portfolio. All answered?"

"Yes. I'm sorry, one more time. Now I'm going in. Thanks for the company. See you."

He then walked away the opposite way we did.
