"Yuko Shishigami? Nice to meet you, I'm Amaterasu, but you can call me Ama," I said with a kind smile.

"Nice to meet you too," Yuko said to me in response. "Aren't you a pretty girl"

"Thank you"

"We're going to work on an assignment," Hiro told his mom before going into his room.

I smiled once more at Yuko and left the living room, going into Hiro's room. I sat down on the chair at his desk as he sat on the floor and started looking through the assignment he was given.

"Your mom's nice. Are you sure you should be burdening her with a murderous son?" I questioned innocently, playing with my hair.

He looked up at me with a frown. "She isn't involved in this. She has nothing to do with it"

"Right answer," I told him with a wink

Two weeks later I turned on the tv, going straight to the news. Like usual it was about the mass killings that had been going on - as well as some information on an asteroid that was heading towards the earth - but I was more focused on how this time it was something completely different about the subject of the murders.

They had supposedly caught the killer, because he turned himself in. But it wasn't described as a high school student or teenager, it was some middle aged man.

Just to make sure they hadn't said that to keep the real murderer's identity a secret, I walked towards Hiro's apartment, going to check on him.

When I approached the building I saw dozens of cars and dozens of men outside, each in suits with guns. The police had found him. They ran inside his apartment and I hurried in after them.

"Hiro!" His mom screamed as she watched multiple of the men tackle him to the ground.

I stood on the deck outside, stopping beside Yuko as she cried, watching her son get attacked. The men ignored her, focused on detaining the mass murderer.

"Why are the police here? What did you do?" Yuko asked through tears. "Hiro, why?"

Hiro threw all the men off of him and started to run. As he took a quick glance back at me and his mom I could see tears falling from his eyes. Then he turned the corner and I heard the sound of his jet pack.

"Where did he go?" One man asked.

"He disappeared," one man said, then he turned to the others. "I said he disappeared! Go after him! Find him!"

I hugged Yuko as she cried into my shoulder, staring in the direction Hiro flew off and the men were searching.

"Did you know? Is this real?" She asked me.

"I didn't know, I'm sorry," I told her almost truthfully. I was sorry.

I went home, leaving her to process this on her own, and immediately turned on the tv. Everywhere, on any news channel I flipped through, his face was displayed for all to see. His name and age were also displayed. I finally stopped on one channel.

"...Shishigami Hiro. This Tokyo high school student attacked several homes, and has killed at least fifteen people that we know of. He is currently at large-"

"I'm sure many of you have seen it on tv, but Shishigami is currently wanted by the police and remains at large," the teacher explained. "If any of you have any information on Shishigami, come see me, no matter how trivial it is"

During lunch everyone was gathered around talking. I noticed Ando sitting a couple sets across from me with a distant look in his eyes. I knew he knew about Hiro, what he was capable of. I also knew Ando knew Hiro was the one doing the killing. But he remained quiet, like he was thinking about someone else entirely.

"Why do they want Shishigami? He's not that kind of guy," I heard a student say to their friends.

I rolled my eyes, knowing the truth. As I sat at my desk, flipping through past news feeds on my phone, I blocked everything else out around me.

"Our investigation uncovered testimony that the suspect killed small animals when he was a child. The suspect wrote that his dream for his future was to become a regular office worker and appeared to be a normal child," one news announcer explained.

Another man started talking. "It says his father lives in a separate home. It suggests a complicated home life. This could have been the external influence that-"

I changed the clip once again, stopping when I saw the familiar face of Hiro's mom. These were recordings, a replay of what had happened days earlier.

"My son... my son... has done something no human should ever do. As a parent, I don't know how I should be taking responsibility for his actions. I am truly sorry," Yuko said, tears constantly streaming down her face.

Across the top of my screen a line flashed, drawing my attention away from the past news clip.

Breaking news!

Mother of suspected serial killer has committed suicide.

I gasped seeing the news report. I knew something was going to happen, this was too much for her to handle. She didn't deserve this, and Hiro knew that. This was only going to make Hiro angrier.
