I - Mister Wizard

Warning: this story contains some bad language, and may contain explicit content such as sex and abuse of alcohol in future chapters.

Also, please give me a few days to work on the cover of this story, I swear I'll come up with something :))

She was in the middle of a mission. Nina was in the middle of a fucking mission when she suddenly fell through the ground as a portal opened up beneath her feet.

She hit the ground with a thud, the portal somehow having transported her into a horizontal position. The hit pushed the air out of her lungs, and it took her a moment to be able to breathe and lift herself off the ground.

"Son of a bitch," she mumbled as soon as she was able to. Strong hands were fast to grab her arms and pull her into a standing position. Only after she was up she realised who it was. "Thor," she said one realisation.

"I need your help," he quickly told her. Nina finally looked around. She felt something weird. She couldn't quite place it but it was like something pulling her in. As if she was a tiny piece of metal and there was a big magnet nearby. Only then she spotted the Wizard.

"Wizard," she said. She looked at the way he was dressing and immediatly saw his necklace. "Time Stone," she realised. There was a hint of surprise in the Wizard's face.

"Who is she?" The Wizard asked Thor, not even acknowledging Nina's presence.

"A very good friend, Nina," Thor presented her.

"Is she to be trusted?"

"She has a name and is standing right here," Nina suddenly snapped. She was annoyed to say the least. She had basically been kidnapped, torn away from her mission, and now she was being ignored.

"I'm sorry, Lady Jones, but I need your help," Thor said apologetically.

"With what? I was busy," she told the two.

"Loki's alive," Mr Wizard suddenly spoke out. Nina froze. "Thor told me you were the only one who can get him under control, so I will only let them back on earth if you're with them," he told her, but she wasnt even listening anymore.

Loki was... alive? That was impossible. She'd seen him die. He had died in her arms. She had mourned him for months.

"I beg your pardon," she interrupted the Wizard, turning to Thor. "Loki's alive?" Thor nodded gravely.

"I only just found out. He casted our father away and disguised himself as King. He has been in Asgard ever since he faked his own death."

"That little dalek," Nina cursed under her breath. None of the men understood what she had said, but they could see -- and udnerstand -- her frustration.

"Your father is in Norway," the Wizard said in a matter of fact tone. "Can I -- I need one strand of your hair." He said to Thor. The God tensed.

"Let me explain something; my hair is not to be meddled with--" he was cut off by the Wizard pulling out a strand of his hair. They suddenly teleported to the bottom of a set of stairs. Nina felt her balance being set off. Space travel without a shell never felt right for her.

"Don't you ever do that again," she warned him, but there was so much anger in her voice it sounded like a threat. The Wizard ignored her and played with the hair until it glowed a bright orange and he simply created a portal out of it.

"He's waiting for you," the Wizard gestured to his masterpiece of a portal next to him. They could see a green scenery through it. "Don't forget your umbrella." Thor raised his eyebrows.

"Oh, right," he nodded, raising one arm. There were some crashing sounds and suddenly an umbrella came flying into Thor's hand. It was his hammer.

Nina was still in shock. She had just been kidnapped by a Wizard asking her to watch over her dead boyfriend. The dead boyfriend she once loved, the one who had faked his death in front of her. The one who watched her cry as she held him in her arms, mourning his death. How could a person do that?

"No, I'm sorry," she spoke out. "You brought me here to watch over them? Like, without asking me, just sending me somewhere -- Norway, apparently -- and demanding me to watch over two stupid men who believe themselves to be gods?" She asked the Wizard. "And you're a fucking Wizard! Earth does not have wizards! You're a human wizard with the Time Stone!"

"How do you know of the Stone?" The mana asked her. Nina scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Who do you think watched over it before it fell into your pretty little hands?" She sneered. Wizard-man was taken aback.

"You have yielded the time stone?"

"A few times, yes. I also believe you did that thing a couple of years ago, where you created a paradox and relived it over a thousand times," Nina asked, but it sounded more like an affirmation. The Wizard nodded. "Don't do that again. Don't create paradoxes. You don't know what you're meddling with."

"And you do?" The Wizard challenged her.

"Yes. Yes I do," Nina told him, apparently taking that question as a personal attack. "Now, I don't want to babysit anyone, and I was in the middle of quite an important mission. Which makes me think," she turned to Thor. "This is the second time you've kidnapped me in the middle of a mission to help you with something."

"This isnt kidnapping," the Wizard rolled his eyes, getting annoyed at her accusation.

"The Wizard is right," Thor agreed. The man rolled his eyes once again, also tired of them calling him a wizard. "I'm begging you, Nina. You are one of the few people I know who can keep Loki under control. Without you, the Wizard won't let him go, which means I can't go find our father."

Nina looked at the man with pity in her eyes. The poor man's family was a mess. Damn her being a good person. Nina had to help him, even if it meant reuniting with Loki.

"Fine," she mumbled. "I'll help."

"I suppose I'll need my brother back," Thor told the wizard. Nina tensed and her hearts suddenly beat harder and faster inside of her. She could pratically hear her heartbeats in her ears.

"Oh, yeah. Right."

The Wizard waved his arms around above his head, and anothe portal appeared. There was a faint scream, that slowly became louder, until Loki hit the wooden floor with a thud, in a similar way as Nina previously had.

"I have been falling for thirty minutes!" He yelled out as he whipped his hair back.

Nina froze. This was going to be very complicated.
