Chapter 3: A New Days Night

I awoke the next evening in the room all by myself, I got up and stretched and made my way into the living room hoping to find Ava and Max. My hopes were dashed immediately upon entering the living room I found a note on the side table next to the couch from Ava. The note read M.I.C. , Max and I are in the archives downstairs we will be up shortly have a drink there are some snacks in the kitchen in the fridge. I had just finished making my drink and was walking back in the living room when Ava and Max walked into the room. I greeted them jokingly and said good evening covering up my face as if I was dracula and wearing a cape. Ava just rolled her eyes and laughed and said welcome to immortality.
Ava said your training continues tonight, the hunt continues same as last night. Max has just informed me that there have been some interesting developments on the local news, the human authorities are hunting for a very dangerous individual a well known cartel kingpin by the name of Bradley Cain. As it turns out Mr.Cain brutally murdered two undercover officers after finding out that they were working with the FBI to take him down for good. Fortunately for us the local PD has yet to find his whereabouts. I asked and just how is that fortunate for us ?

Ava said it's simple it gives us plenty of time to track him down this evening, but our first stop is the club. Now there is one task we must complete before we depart this evening and that task is you must drink from me as you did when you first transitioned. When you're finished drinking you will find that you have some very new unique talents like understanding any language spoken to you and you'll be able to reply back without a second thought. After we depart the club this evening I'm going to take you to a place I know to show you how to use the rest of your new preternatural gifts.

I said ok sounds like this is going to be an interesting night. Ava pulled out a small blade from her waist pocket and cut a slit in her hand which I immediately begin to drink from. As I drank from her I could feel an immediate change deep down in the very cells of my being. Ava said that's enough and gently pulled her hand away from me. Before I knew it we are in the car headed to the club, as we entered the club Ava said you're going to order our drinks tonight I said okay I'll give it a shot. As I approached the bar I noticed it was the same Draconian bartender from last night. When I got up to the bar the bartender said what can I get ya in his native language which oddly enough I understood, I replied back instinctively and said I'll have two bloody Mary's put it on Ava's tab the bartender nodded and said right away and began making our drinks.

Just a few moments later our drinks were ready, I picked them up and said thank you to the bartender and he nodded. As I made my way back to Ava I noticed a large muscle bound redhead man glaring at me, I paid him no mind and walked up to Ava and handed her her drink. Ava after we finish our drinks we will begin the hunt for Mr. Cain and i said what's our first step ava said well i have managed to get us two invites to one of the biggest parties in town held by one of the biggest movie studios in town someone there is bound to know Mr. Cain and where we might find him.

When we got back to the car i said who was that big red head guy starring at me as i was bringing our drinks back ? Ava said, that was the local alpha of the lycan pack here in town Patrick O'Toole pay him no mind he acts like that with all the young vamps in town. I said well ok i thought it was just me. As we made our way to the party the local news came over the radio saying that Mr. Cain had been spotted near our destination and that the police presents would be very strong this evening as they were actively pursuing him.

Ava smiled viciously and said well that makes things easier, i looked at her perplexed and asked how ? Ava said if he's scared or angry it makes his scent more pronounced and we can track that sent with our enhanced scenes, i said ok that makes since and smiled coyly. I asked so what's the plan now ? Ava said same as we discussed earlier we go to the party and mingle, as we pulled up to the valet Ava said when we get to the door let me handle the doorman i looked at her and nodded. When we got to the door Ava looked at the doorman and said we are guest of Mr. Cain the doorman's expression went blank and he nodded and opened the door for us.
