" they're coming this way oh my god, oh my god, oak, do i look good " lilly was freaking out, looking out the corner of her eye fixing her hair and outfit. i rolled my eyes at her reaction to four adults coming over to a bar to get drinks.

" you crazy lady you look fine. " i said taking a sip of my drink.

" should we say something, maybe not, i thin- " before she finished i turned in my stool towards the boys with a smile on my face.

" hi! i'm oakley and this is my friend lilly. we just saw you guys play at the uris theater and you guys were amazing " i said with a smile and put my hand out to brian, who was the closest to us. he smile, as did the rest of them and shook my hand. i could tell lilly was dumbfounded behind me with what i just did. and if i'm being completely honest, i was too. i think i just wanted to be the one to initiate something for once. she's always the friend maker, outgoing loudmouth. well yes i have a loudmouth, but after i'm comfortable with people.

" brian. " he said with a smile. " and this is fred,
john, and roger down at the far end. " he said following as i waved down to everyone.

" wait you two were the girls in the fron- "

" yes they were " roger cut freddie off giving me a snarky smile.

" i wasn't gonna call them out like that rog "

" well thats all we were talking about after the show i thought that was fine "

" it's kinda creepy "

" not really, they were kinda two cute girls who knew every single lyric up at the front jumping and dancing around " roger and brian went back and forth.

" not to mention they left after we finish our performance " john stated making it clear that we were not seeing mott the hoople.

" darlings stop talking like they're not right in front of you " fred said getting up and sitting in the seat between brian and i. " we really did appreciate the fact that you two enjoyed the show. " he said with a smile. " but of course one day everyone will enjoy me in one way shape or form " he followed which made me laugh.

everyone got to talking a bit, and we ended up getting a booth. lilly and brian were each others focus which left me with the other three, more like two. roger would get up and go off somewhere. i was able to learn a lot about freddie and john. john was very quiet and kept to himself but as the night went on a kept poking and trying to pry my way in. freddie told me not to worry about it and that he'll come around.

" i got another round " the blonde came back with his free arm around another blonde in a tight red dress.

" and another girl " john mumbles which made me laugh. roger rolled his eyes and set the drinks down and slid in next to me making fred, john, and i move over. the girl plopped down in rogers lap and smiled at everyone.

" hi i'm natalie " she said smiling and reached out for my hand. i shook it not knowing why she was trying to be all friendly. i looked over at lilly and she started laughing.

" nice to meet you natalie " brian followed after the laughs. i was going back and forth between john and freddie's conversation and lilly and brian's until the girl tapped my shoulder.

" autumn was it? " she said politely.

" oakley actually " i said and returned the smile.

" oh shit yea, i'm sorry " roger said. " i knew it was something with trees or something but i also thought it began with an O but i could've mixed that up. " he continued. " i was going back and forth between autumn and ollie " he said.

" oakley, what a pretty name " natalie said, " so are you with john? -right johns his name " she spoke lower. i laughed and shook my head.

" no, we literally all just meant and i should be home in my bed but someone- " i glared at lilly " had another idea " i laughed and took a sip of my drink.

natalie and i started talking more with roger in between us. he'd add sometimes or tried to get into the conversation every now and then, but i'm pretty sure he had other ideas. as he started whispering stuff into natalies ear in the middle of our conversation. i turned back forward and sipped my drink. it heated up pretty quickly and the kissing began. i moved over more so they'd have their space, the boys didn't seem to mind or even notice this occurring right in front of them. tried my best to ignore it.

" ok let me move " i stated practically trying to nudge, more so, push roger.

" what the hell " he exclaimed why turning snd knocking his drink onto me.

" just move dumbfuck! " i yelled picking his drink up as natalie got up. i could tell she felt bad and roger did too not realizing what he was doing. i crawled out of the seat grabbing napkins from the table next to us. " i apologize for yelling " i did mean it to. i went off to the bathroom, luckily my shirt was black and hopefully nothing stains my jeans but i'm gonna smell like strong alcohol. the door opened and both lilly and natalie were coming in.

" here " lilly said coming over to me and helped the best she could.

" guys it's fine " i laughed. " does anyone have like something that smells decent on them. i just don't wanna smell like- " i smelt my shirt " all i smell is straight vodka, is roger drinking straight vodka? " we all laughed. luckily natalie had something. we walked out of the bathroom together and came back and returned to our seats.

" i'm sorry " roger turned to me and then looked down at my clothes. " well fuck " he said after. i laughed a bit, he's an asshole but there something i like about his assholeness that i can't make me mad at him.

" it's ok " i shook my head " i'll figure it out later, don't worry about it " i stated after taking another sip of my drink.

" if it stains i'll pay for a new pair for you " he said with a hopeful smile. again. i don't know what it is that i like about his assholeness.
