My insides boiled with anxiety. In front of me stood Alex. In front of me stood Maciey. They were both standing in front of me with blank expressions. My breathing became difficult, black splotches covered my eyesight, and I felt like I was going to pass out. Alex wrapped his arms around her and she smiled. Were they dating?

Soon, we all sat around the table (me next to Maciey) and she kept shooting me glances. Her eyes lit up and she smiled when we made eye contact. Her bright red lipstick reflected the overhead light. I barely ate any of my food, because I had eaten a lot earlier. When I finished, I went upstairs into my room to make sure I looked decent. I scurried around trying to fix up things in my room when she walked in. "Woah nice place," her eyes glanced around at the posters hung up on my walls. I guess my room looked cool from somebody else's view...

By the time the sun went down, Maciey and I were already really close and that just made me love her more. Her family soon had to leave, so we said our goodbyes as her flaming head bobbed out of my bedroom.

I woke up to the alarm on my phone, and in 15 minutes I was out the door for school. My insides were filled with butterflies as I thought about seeing Maciey again. She was riding her bike not too far behind me. She pulled up and offered a ride, so I got on the pegs from the back tire. I started paniking and blurted out, "I kinda like you." She said, "I kinda like you too." I blushed but I wasn't sure if she knew what I meant.

I thought about her all day. I missed her and hopefully she missed me too. At lunch she sat next to me and we talked about what would happen if we toured with our favorite bands. Her boyfriend came over too, to talk with us about some Geometry homework. I couldn't stop staring at her. She was too perfect to look away, and she didn't catch me staring either. Then the bell rang for our next class, but Maciey pulled me out of the cafeteria to the emergency exit.

"What are you doing?!" I nervously asked. "Come on, Leo, we're gonna skip," she grinned and I couldn't argue with her. We went out the back door, her still pulling me, to a tree near the football field. Her hand seemed to fit perfectly in mine, and I entwined my fingers into hers when we stopped moving. She just looked at me, and smiled her beautiful smile. Thinking out loud, I whispered, "I love you." I immediately got embarrassed when she stared at me. Her grin faded and she had a confused look on her face. "You... love me? Like, you're a lesbian?" Anxiety flowed through my veins making me fidgety. I looked down at my Converse. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you hate me, I ruin everything, I'm so sorry, I have to go." I hid my face from turning red and she took my hand. "Leo, it's okay." "No it isn't. It's not okay, I ruined this friendship and I'm sorry for developing feelings for you. What is wrong with me? I'm so-" She pulled me in. With her hands around my neck, she pressed her lips up to mine. We were close enough to where I could feel the warmth of her body against me. I felt fireworks in my stomach, it felt like the greatest thing ever. I didn't want to pull away, but I knew it couldn't last forever. I wish it lasted forever.
