   January 6

It's been awhile since I wrote in my journal. Mainly because I've been focusing too much on Maciey. She just overwhelmed me with happiness. My birthday is coming up in 17 days, it would be nice to have her over. I can't explain how much I love this girl. I have to plan on how I will come out to my dad.

"Soup, Leo?" Standing next to me was my dad, he was holding a ladle and a pot of soup. "What kind?" I looked at the soup. Chicken tortilla. "Yeah, sure," I watched as he poured the mixture of chicken, corn, beans, seasonings, and broth in my bowl.  At the table sat me, my brothers to my left, my parents and Aries in front of me. Aries seemed to always be at my house. She never said much, she usually just ate and slept here. She was a talkbox at school though. I don't understand her.

We all finished our food around 9, Aries left, I took my pills and went to my room to text Maciey. She could be such a flirt to me, and I still wouldn't know if she loved me back or not. I normally argued with myself, coming to the conclusion that: yes, she does love you.

I found my parents' wedding scrapbook and the more I looked through it, the more I realized that I wanted to marry a girl. I got a text back from Maciey.

Hey Leo can I ask you something?

Uh, sure I guess

Do you want to be mine..? Like, my girlfriend?

Oh shit. Uh, yeah of course. Definitely.

I put my phone down and smiled idiotically into my pillow. The best thing I could think of just happened to me. I wasn't expecting the worst.

I felt sick to my stomach, and ran to the bathroom to cough up my pills and blood, for the 4th time this week. I had told my dad every time it happened, but Jaynie said it was nothing. This time, my muscles were paralyzed, and I couldn't move. "Dad!" I gurgled. "Dad!" He ran towards the bathroom after 10 more calls of his name. He picked me up over his shoulder and drove me to the hospital. Blood was all over my shirt, all over the car. I was covered by my own tears, sweat, and blood, and I could barely see. "Dad what's happening?" I slowly mumbled, while being tossed and turned by at least 6 EMT's. "It's gonna be okay Leonie." Tears trailed down his face, I've never seen him cry so much before. Except for when my mom died. Black and purple splotches quickly covered my eyesight, and the last thing I heard was my dad yelled, "Stay with me Leonie, please!"
