Chapter 5

"Leo! Leonie! Come down here please!"

I stumbled down the stairs, rubbing my eyes. It was to early for me to be awake, too early for anyone. "What Jaynie?" She was carrying several suitcases full of useless scrap, and keys. Is she leaving? Forever? Thank God. "Leo, since it's winter break, for the holidays we are going to the Bahamas!" Nevermind. My little brothers and my dad came piling out of their rooms with tired looks. My dad walked to the car to put Jaynie's junk in there. "Oh and Leo," she grinned,"You aren't coming. Have a great Christmas."

I didn't know how to react. I could either cry because my dad agreed to leave his child alone for 2 weeks to go miles away with her, or I could celebrate because I would have the entire house to myself for 2 weeks. I just decided to go with saying "Okay" and leaving to sleep again. They left, and I awoke hours later.

The knocking at the door got louder. I was trying to sleep, but it wouldn't stop so I had to answer it sometime soon. "Leo I'm trying to sleep, can you please stop the knocking?" Aries' voice mumbled. I didn't know she was here, but she always shows up randomly. "Leonie!! Leo!! Come get the door, it's cold as shit outside!" I sparked up. It was Maciey. I went to open the door, butterflies in my stomach. Alex was standing with her, clinging to her like a sloth on a tree. It felt like I was being stabbed inside. Aries rolled her eyes. She knew I was crushing on Maciey, and she knew it wouldn't turn out good. I didn't care, and I invited them inside.

We all hung out for a few hours and then Alex had to leave to go to his brother's basketball game. Aries was passed out on the sofa, and Maciey was all over my fridge. "Maciey," I lingered, "Why did you kiss me if you have a boyfriend?" "Leo, that I do not want to discuss right now," her reply was sharp. I groaned and she came and sat beside me. "Ugh, okay. Alex and I haven't been doing too well.. We have been getting into more arguments and ae are barely holding onto our relationship." I looked up at her, "But, you guys were just al over each other just awhile ago." "You don't understand, but soon Alex and I will be nothing. I've made up me mind, Leo." I was confused... she quietly said, "Leo I think I want you." I stared in awe. I don't understand. It's all confusing, but in a heartbeat I said I would be with her.
